It was amazing experience playing here. They have 3 different playing field and we played in all of them. It was very realistic experience and we fill thrilled.

First time actually playing paintball with friends and this was a good place for that. Very instructive and helpful. My friends and I were taken aback by the prices though. The suits were not worth getting because the paint goes through it and they are pretty flimsy. All in all: great workout and lots of fun!

Leider konnte man Vorort nicht mit Kreditkarte bezahlen, was aber für mich kein Problem darstellte.(Translated by Google)It was my first time there and I was really impressed by the area.Mega cool playing fields with enough space and options. The rental equipment worked without any problems and was suitable for beginners. It wasn't overcrowded there, so we were able to go to the playing fields often enough. The day there was really a lot of fun!Unfortunately you couldn't pay with a credit card on site, but that wasn't a problem for me.

Good paintball arena with 3 areas to choose from. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They got well-maintained equipment and a good play time management system. Ammunition refill can get expensive for a few rounds, but I guess that's what you need to pay for this sport. Otherwise recommended!

The on-site team is friendly, helpful and well organized. The equipment was suitable for us as beginners without much experience. The 3 different play areas are varied. The principle of the game with the aim of pressing a buzzer in the opponent's area is quickly learned and fun. You alternate with other groups every 8 minutes, so you always have time for breaks. 5 on 5 is a good size. A short video explains the rules. There are changing rooms, toilets and drinks sales on site. Additional paintballs can quickly add up. With the play areas next to each other, the loudspeaker announcements are confusing because you can hear both.

Sights & Landmarks
The Aachen Cathedral (Aachener Dom) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the city of Aachen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is one of the most important religious monuments in Europe and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The octagonal Palatine Chapel was built by Emperor Charlemagne as his palace church in 800 and later became the coronation chapel for Holy Roman Emperors. The Gothic choir was completed in 1414.
Aachen Cathedral is beautiful . We went in the early afternoon on a weekday. There weren’t many people around. It was easy to explore the area and the cathedral. It’s free to enter. Donations are welcomed. We parked in the paid parking lot a block away
Nelida S — Google review
My visit to Aachen Cathedral in 2014 was a fascinating journey into the heart of history and art. The cathedral's rich architectural heritage and religious significance left a lasting impression, making it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and culture lovers. The intricate design and craftsmanship of the cathedral's interior were awe-inspiring. The golden mosaics and beautifully adorned chapels showcased the skill of the artisans who created this magnificent place of worship. The Palatine Chapel, in particular, stood out with its unique octagonal shape and exquisite detailing. The historical importance of Aachen Cathedral as the coronation site of numerous German kings added to its allure. Standing in the same space where centuries of royal history unfolded was a humbling experience that transported me back in time. The cathedral's surroundings, including the charming Old Town and the nearby Elisenbrunnen, provided an excellent backdrop for exploring the city's cultural offerings. However, the experience could have been enhanced with more detailed information provided at various points within the cathedral. While the architecture spoke volumes, additional signage or guided tours would have provided deeper insights into its historical and religious significance.Overall, Aachen Cathedral is a treasure trove of art, history, and spirituality that should not be missed. Despite the minor lack of information, the beauty and cultural value of this UNESCO World Heritage Site make it a compelling destination for anyone with an appreciation for the past and the wonders of architectural excellence.

This is a very beautiful cathedral absolutely worth a visit. I was really impressed by the beautiful artwork in the cathedral. There was a fee of 1 EUR to take pictures, but that was absolutely OK considering that there is no entrance fee.

Very historical Cathedral, it was in fact the 2nd place from Europe to be added into the UNESCO world heritage sites. Would recommend getting some ice cream from the shops nearby and spending your summer evening enjoying the beauty of the cathedral. Plenty of paid car parks nearby but getting in out using the public transport will be the best option.
Nrusimhan S — Google review
Absolutely stunning inside and out.You need to take one of the guided tours to see the real splendor as they take you into the area where the Throne is and right up to Charlemagne's casket. They tell you some of the history and stories of the Cathedral.Entrance is free, but they ask for a donation of €1 for taking photos, the tour is not free.

This cathedral is really beautiful inside! Atmosphere there is nice and enlightening. Even on a weekend it wasn't too overcrowded. In some zones you can get only with a guided tour, but general space is available for free.

Aachen Cathedral is a masterpiece that left me in awe. The intricate architecture and historical significance make it a must-visit. The blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles creates a captivating atmosphere. The cathedral's role in history, housing Charlemagne's Palatine Chapel, adds another layer of fascination. A truly enriching experience for history and architecture enthusiasts

Visited on a Sunday in June.Took the train from Cologne to Aachen, under 1h.Went straight to the ticket office and booked an english tour that was started later that day. We got headphones from our guide tour and he started explaining. I liked the guide as after each fact he was open to questions from the group. The guided tour included acces to the first floor of the dome where the throne is and access to see the church artifacts from close proximity. I would recommend taking the tour as it was rather inexpensive for the historical facts you get in return but the seeing the throne is not so impressive. Tour took around one hour and we walked only like 10 minutes in total. Rest of the time we were sitting and listening to the guide. It is free to enter the cathedral.

Small cathedral, you can attend mass in the morning and afternoon about 1, they allow you to have a tour inside. Be sure to bring coins with you if you want to take an Instagramable pic as you'll pay a euro for that spot. Amazing view inside and be sure to be quiet
Karen C — Google review
Over 1200 years old this Cathedral contains history of Charlemagne and the Middle Ages. The architecture is fascinating and the artwork is incredibly beautiful and meaningful. This is a church and is used today for Catholic masses. The golden reliquaries are beautiful and contain the bones of Charlemagne and the diaper and loincloth of Jesus. Look high to see the ceiling with all of its splendor and look low to see an amazingly laid out floor.Free to the public. No tickets for entrance is necessary. Restrooms are just next door and cost .50 Euro and are clean. Visit the Dom Information center to join a tour for a small fee. I highly recommend the tour. Get your tour ticket as soon as you arrive to get the time and language preferred. You get to see the throne, go upstairs, and go behind the altar. Our guide was an architectural student and provided lots of historical insight.Be sure to visit the gift shop. They have an amazing and wide variety of different religious, historical, and regional items. The staff is very helpful and welcoming.Walk to the Cathedral from Aachen HBF or take a bus to the Elisenbrunnen stop. You can easily buy tickets from the bus drivers. The entire area around the Cathedral is worth a visit.

A pretty cool place to visit. Thearchitecture is very intricate on the outside. It’s amazing how detailed the inside is. Seems like every square inch of this place is as decorative as possible. The stained glass is a sight to see. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy elaborate architecture. A pretty casual environment. You’re pretty much free to walk around at your leisure and enjoy it at your pace.

Considered the oldest cathedral in Northern Europe, Aachen Cathedral is a must-see and an important site in the region. At first glance, the sumptuous mosaics are what draw the most attention. The vault, approximately 32 metres high, is full of details that are worth admiring for a moment. After passing through the vault, you will find the central nave characterised by its impressive blue and purple stained glass windows. Depending on the time of year, the cathedral will be more or less visited, but it is important to remember that this is not only an architectural gem (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site) but it is also a place of religious worship, so the visit must always be done in a respectful manner and following the instructions of the security staff. And of course, a couple of visits are not enough, so come back whenever you have the chance. :)

Very beautiful soul place. We spent quite some time walking around and looking at all of the things inside, you can sit there as well. There’s a toilet in front of the entrance it was about fifty cents. The entrance of the church from the opposite site of city center, I was lost first time:) entrance is free:)

City hall Aachen is a beautiful and important building from the Gothic period. It is located near the cathedral and is associated with important historical figures like Charlemagne. The building survived the demolition of the imperial palace in the 13th century and has many original features, including four storeys from its original height.
Really nice building located in the heart of Aachen. It is quick to see and audio guides are provided. There are about 4-5 rooms on the ground floor. And the a huge room on the top floor. Each room has a different theme and history.

Excellent vantage point to see the city of Aachen at your feet. The town hall of today has seen many modifications and renewals since its original built during the 14th Century and stands on the site of Charlemagne's palace. The original structure incorporated parts of the old Carolingian palace, making it a site with deep historical roots. Additionally, the town hall hosts the annual Charlemagne Prize ceremony, awarded to individuals for their contributions to European unity, highlighting its continuing significance in European culture and history.

Aachen has a historical and very beautiful municipality. It is the most important place to visit in this region. It is located in the center of Aachen. There are also great bars and cafes around Aachen town hall. You can drink very good German beers or taste great coffee and cakes here. The city hall of Aachen is a very cool and historic place. The crown jewels given to the king or queen of Aachen is stored here behind a glass wall. It is valued at about 1 million euros. The hall itself is where many people such as Henry Kissinger (he unfortunately died the day this post is being written) were celebrated and inaugurated. I definitely reccomend visiting the city hall if you are in the area, especially at night. I also highly reccomend getting a tour guide to explain all the culture and history.

GaiaZOO is a modern zoo featuring animals from around the world, an indoor dinosaur park, and a petting zoo. The zoo offers well-planned routes that are easily accessible by foot, wheelchair, or baby prams. Visitors can enjoy various food options at multiple restaurants and ample seating areas throughout the park. The enclosures are spacious with multiple viewing areas, and there are play areas for children. Additionally, there is a large tower to ascend for panoramic views of the surroundings.
Great place to spend the whole day. There are lots of playgrounds inside, a place to sit and have a snack. My son loved the free carousel inside where the rides were unlimited.A pitty that the souvenir shops closes strictly at 17. We couldn't buy any gifts at the end of the stay.Pay attention, that if you're dropped off by someone with a car- to do that at the entrance from the street and not from the parking. Otherwise it is challenging to get out without a paid parking ticket.

Not a whole lot to see compared to larger zoos.I was happy to see the animals that were present especially when i saw some up close.Food options were confusing about whether some were actually vegetarian or vegan, and the menu deal does not indicate that drinks are limited to small bottles only, you are only told at checkout.

Very cool zoo, went there with my family and we enjoyed it. The zoo is very large and there are a lot of different animals, they are all very visible and they don't have cramped enclosures. They also have good restaurants and enough toilets. They also have a statue of the animal with braille under it for blind people, which I find a very cool addition. Overall I recommend visiting GaiaZOO.

19.10.2024The best ZOO we visited so far. Beautiful, clean, very well organised, just a few dead ends, but you can easily walk around smoothly. Animals were not hidden to the sight, through the whole day you can meet animal tenders feeding them (we were lucky to see Anteater feeding - awesome experience!)Clean toilets, the cleanest I have ever seen!A lot of playgrounds for kids, DinoDome is a huge indoor playground with climbing attractions (would recommend for kids 5+, but our 4-year-old child enjoyed it and was able to climb it).Nice and cosy restautant Acacia offering fast food, but quite rich menu, everyone can pick something.Entrance fee quite high (adults around 26,50 Eur, kid 3+ 21,50 Eur, parking 6 Eur), but absolutely worth it.I was amazed by two Zoo guys presenting lion tail, gorilla hands and feet, sea turtle shield and various skulls and they gave us much information about them. Great job, guys!

Overall nice to have this big and overall well taken care of zoo in the area for someone traveling between Germany and the Netherlands. However, without elephant, zebra, tiger, polar bear, pinguin, and seadog my son, and to some degree also us, were left unhappy. There are also no feeding shows. For 80€+ for two adults, child and baby the value is a little bit questionable. On positive note, there are plenty of playgrounds for the kids.

We went a bit off season(March) so lots of exhibits were closed for renovation. The zoo itself is nice with mixed habitats for some groups of animals.

Not as big as other zoos but very nicely kept with pretty enclosures for animals. Good availability of parking but the food served at the zoo's restaurants is not that great.

A beautiful zoo, well maintained, with many animals kept in good conditions. A few attractions are missing (an aquarium, maybe several species of animals), but overall it was nice. Also, there are a lot of playgrounds, which makes it an ideal place for a visit with children.I recommend it for a Sunday walk.

the enclosures are really big and they do have multiple viewing areas. the monkeys were so fun to watch and the bird sanctuary was incredible. there are a couple play areas for the kiddos and there are eateries staged around the park. there is a large tower before entering the park and i recommend if you planned on ascending it, to do that first(your legs may not want to go after walking the zoo). there is paid parking there and admission was normal

Beautiful place!!! My husband and I visited this place during our vacation. We had a great time (like children) and we really enjoyed walking around the zoo. We don't regret a single minute spent there. We were lucky to have nice weather. We live 250km from Gaia zoo. If it weren't for the distance, we would definitely be there more often. We would like to thank the employees for how they take care of the animals and the space. Good job. 👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Beautiful ambience. Lot's of playgrounds and food options. However, the money paid to see the animals it's overrated. Most of the animals are hiding, so we only saw few. So basically we just paid 22 eur per person for a hike through the zoo without animals. Also as a visitor of the zoo I think the parking should be included in the price
Dominika K — Google review
The animals looked really happy and content. How else with enclosures that pretty. We had lovely weather and a lot of animals agreed and where enjoying and soaking up the sun with us.

They say first impressions count but I think the last ones are the lasting ones. After Google tried to send me everywhere but where I needed to go, I found the right entrance. I went through the barrier without needing to get a ticket and enjoyed the next 3-4 hours and spent over 150 euros for 3 people. Not a problem, I really liked most of it -especially the monkeys! Then it came time to leave, went up the one way road to get out and was stuck behind a barrier. Intercom system didn't work so I asked my Dutch wife to call them to see what had happened. Apparently we should have taken a ticket upon entering which wasn't clear or signposted in any clearly visible way. So great, reversed backwards down the one way road and bought a parking ticket for 8.50 and could leave. You guys really need to make that more obvious I think. I now know what I need to do for next time, but because of this I'll never come back.

Amazing place! You can visit the circuit any day, and you can access most of the areas, stands and even the pit, to watch the cars. The tour is also really nice.

Came here for the 2024 Belgium F1 race weekend.Parked in the green parking, easy to find and park.Getting out on the other hand took over 2 hours on Saturday and Sunday 🙄.Food in the circuit was very limited choice, burger, hot, or flat buger and was €50 for 30 coins. You can't use cards or cash in the circuit. There were loads of food vendors, but all offered the same food and drink choices. This is the main reason for only 4*The actual circuit and facilities were great, and you could walk around nearly all the track to see where you were going to set base camp up. We watched the F1 from Speed Corner and had a great time.

It was amazing. I was here during the F1 race. I had gold 2 it was great because you can see the cars accelerating from the 1st turn all the way up to eau rouge. Tickets aren’t cheap tho. Worth the experience. Truly one of the most beautiful tracks out there. The forests make it even more wonderful. Keep this race in the calendar!

Avec des embouteillages juste MONSTRUEUX notamment pour le trajet retour !(Translated by Google)That the circuit is legendary and that its layout is brilliant: I readily concede that! The climb of the steep slope and the curves + the chicane just before the finish are at the top! Afterwards, the stands offer uneven views of the track.. most often BEHIND fences that are quite detrimental to the view...Finally,The parking lots and road logistics are rubbish...all Walloon, am I tempted to add? With traffic jams that are just MONSTROUS, especially for the return journey!

Loved the race on spa circuit.Few things to plan, if you are purchasing bronze ticket, ensure you bring your chair. Otherwise it would be uncomfortable to manage, o top of it if it rains then stand becomes messy. Spa circuit shouldn't something about this. Carry raincoat and umbrella. If you are coming by public transport the spa shuttle drops you almost 3 km before the circuit and you need to walk, so and it takes easily 1 hour to reach the circuit. I went by car and opted for green zone parking it was pretty close to circuit. But while returning it was Overdose of cars so it took almost 1 and half hours to just come out of parking only. But once you see cars zooming in front of you from so close you forget all the pain.Sufficient food stalls with wide variety of foods and drinks.
Rohit S — Google review
Fantastic circuit with some great views, no cash on circuit they issue token which is a pain. Shuttle bus drops you off about 2.5km from the entrance so it's not the best if not fit.

Fabulous circuit, a real petrolheads dream. We visited for the F1 and had heard horror stories about parking but if you plan ahead it's fine, we parked in yellow and used Waze to get there and back. Obviously there's a significant amount of people coming and going so you will have delays but that should be expected. We noticed a lot of police who were doing a good job of directing traffic and pedestrians alike. Generally was a 45 min walk back to the car and about 30 mins to get going into moving traffic. The circuit is huge and quite hilly so be prepared for a lot of walking. For the F1 you will need to buy a prepaid card for the food, which you charge up with coins. All the other vendors accept debit cards. As it's Spa and in the middle of a forest you should expect and plan for rain, we only had 1 day out of 3 but had brought some disposable raincoats with us.Overall a fantastic experience, will definitely be coming back in the future.

Our first Grand Prix here was epic! This track is easily the most beautiful, with awesome races and stunning views. The track is like a huge rollercoaster, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. Amazing Experience at Spa-Francorchamps!The Spa-Francorchamps Circuit is truly a gem in the racing world. Nestled in the beautiful Ardennes forest, the track offers a perfect blend of high-speed straights, challenging corners, and dramatic elevation changes. The iconic Eau Rouge and Raidillon section is a sight to behold and a thrill to watch. The facilities were top-notch, and the views from various vantage points around the track were fantastic. The unpredictable weather added an exciting element to the race.Overall, an unforgettable experience for any motorsport enthusiast. Highly recommend visiting for a race weekend!

Thought I have to try the spa of all spa's 😆 At Sportoase Leuven you get the same but for 6 EUR per day and not 30 euro for 3 hours. I didn't do any treatments. Keidel Mineral-Thermalbad Freiburg is much more of a spa.

Too expensive (30 € for 3 hours). After all, this is just a public swimming pool with Sauna and Hammam. Not exactly a wellness oasis. Didn't see any pools with thermal water. Bit dated (got a late 90s vibe) and not much decorations. Staff is very friendly tho and it is reasonably clean. In Germany, you'd pay around 20 € for similar public Spas.

Décevant.(Translated by Google)This comment only concerns the cafeteria part. Frankly ridiculous aperitif boards, one board (at €11) is said to be for 2 people, but even for one it’s not enough. We took the Italian board and the Ardennes board. Hard bread, a few cheeses that fight a duel, nothing to apply the tapenade on the toasts... But fortunately our table neighbors were generously served, perhaps we had a stroke of bad luck? Then a ridiculously small quiche Lorraine that had no taste. Disappointing.

Don't waste your money and time, it's not worth it!!! This is definitely not a spa, much less a luxurious spa, but a public swimming pool with a steam room and a hammam sauna hidden away on the second floor. You can't wear slippers, not even in the bathroom, but the toilet is always dirty. There is only one outdoor and one indoor pool and a jacuzzi here and there. None of them were hot (neither the jacuzzi nor the pools), and the indoor area was cold all the time. Perhaps it would be a good option for the summer if it weren't so expensive. It's worth paying 3 euros for the public pool.
Bruna A — Google review
If you are into sauna's then this isn't something worthwhile. The pool is nice and spacious but there is only one sauna and a steamroom where you're allowed to take your clothes of.To be fair its not a bad place, it's clean and has a relaxing vibe. Still, I can't recommend it for the sauna experience and the prices are to steep for the bathing area and sauna combined.
Mike — Google review
If you are in that city, it is worth the money and time to go to the pool. We were staying at the hotel next to the pool. There was a special entrance directly from the hotel. The pool had rules like no children under 15. The sauna areas were cold and no clothes. The pool area has a vibe and it can be chill with drinks. I loved funicular experience.

Don't be fooled! They ask you to arrive early and tell you you have 3 hours from your booked time. At checkout they claim you scanned your bracelet at an earlier time and charge you late exit fee. Your 3 hours start from when you scan your bracelet entering the facilities. Other than the stress leaving, trying to pay at a machine that doesn't work was a nice experience. Friendly staff (except at checkout), the facilities could have been more fresh. It does feel somewhat dated. Some old lime crust visible here and there. They offer two relaxation areas - naturist and clothed - the naturist area is much nicer almost to the point it feels like they were forced to add the clothed area and this was an inconvenience to the staff. Would give 4 stars if it felt more fresh and they made an effort to have a relaxing exit.

Had a relaxing day while visiting the Thermes de Spa. Clean surroundings, 2 warm pools at the ground level and sauna facilities upstairs. Could buy swimsuits and rent towels at the reception. Easy way up/down by funicular. Bites and drinks available at the bar inside. Compared to other thermes it's a bit small but good for the money, we liked it.

The place is great to disconnect and have a moment for yourself to relax. I recommend that if you spend the full day in , you must have to take the lunch and massage because both experiences were wonderful. They do an amazing job.
Berenice M — Google review
It was a nice spa and we had a relaxing time, but be aware that if you book 3 hours you have to actually be at the check out at exactly 3 hours after checking in, otherwise you have to pay extra before being able to leave. We were in a session that started half an hour before we had to leave and the person guiding it told us we would be fine and have some extra time, when we told the persons at reception they said their colleague in the spa should not have told us that as it wasn't his right to do so in a quite unfriendly manner. A bit sad to end the experience with this.

Nice water temperature in the pool, but very limited - only hamam and sauna, no relax showers, hotbeds, saltroom, fragrant steam room, hot/ cold foot basin etc, so very very basic. Positive note - hairdryers provided. No 4G network in cafeteria, no wi-fine for clients either.
Annie A — Google review
Unfortunately this is not a spa or sauna. This is one large beautiful swimming pool with two saunas, or rather, one sauna and one hammam and that’s it.Here everyone wears clothes. I can't imagine anyone wearing swim trunks to a spa.

Great place to relax. The spa is centered in the midst of the green mountains, which is very nice. The only thing that bothered me were guests talking in the silent areas.
Jonortet 8 — Google review
Don't go here if you are used to spa experiences in the Netherlands or Belgium elsewhere! I almost never write bad reviews, but I feel this is important before people spend a lot of money expecting a certain experience. I would say this is really not a spa/wellness, but more a swimming pool which offers treatments and a single sauna/steam room, all very expensive. We went here thinking it would be incredible (due to website and reputation of Spa as a wellness town), and spent 300 euros on two expensive packages with treatments. We were very disappointed with the layout of the building, and the amount of wellness facilities. The lunch buffet was in a relatively small room, with some cold cuts and dessert (and a carbonara with ham and cream). This is radically different from what we know and expect from other wellness places. The only compliment I will give, is to the treatment staff, which were excellent and very nice, plus the relaxation massage was great.
Oscar B — Google review
Had an amazing day at Thermes de Spa! The place is massive, so you never feel cramped, even with a good number of people around. The highlight for me was definitely the transversal pool – it’s so cool to swim from the warm inside straight to the chilly outdoor section, especially with the views. They’ve got a bar if you’re up for a drink or snack, plus some vending machines for a quick beverage. Overall, the price is pretty reasonable for a full day’s access. Great way to relax without breaking the bank. Would definitely recommend it for anyone in need of a proper chill day!

This brewery is definitely worth a drive if you are staying in Bruges or Brussels, or even Luxembourg. It’s one of my favourite blondes made in Belgium. I also love the seasonal cherry and mcchuffe. It’s a great location for a beer tour. They do nice food also, and it’s very close to where the battle of the bulge took place so you can visit the museum at Bastone if you a military buff like me.

Good beer with funny art on their bottles. The response to requests to take a tour in the brewery however is extremely bad now with the coronavirus. We would be staying near the brewery for a week and requested to tour the brewery by email a week before we got there. We got a late reaction that said we only had an hour to call them if we wanted to have a spot on a tour the next day. We would be leaving the next day, so that wasn't a possibility. Not really a friendly way of doing this. So drink the beer, skip the tour, but maybe walk outside the brewery for a bit.

Traveled all the way from South Africa to see the birth place of this iconic beer just to have my dreams ruined. Was treated very rudely by a staff member at the info center when inquiring about a brewery tour, as I did not know this had to be booked months in advance. Also could not book and pay for a tour for the next day as the availability was subject to change as we had to show up again at 11am to book the available spots for a tour at 4pm... I have never in my life heard something so ridiculous! For such a "friendly" brewery they act very elitist and snobby. If you don't book a tour you are not even allowed to enter their tasting room and taste their beer. Other towns showcase more of La Chouffe gnomes and memorabilia than the birth place of it. What a waste of time to go here...

The Bookstore Domincanen is a beautiful 13th century Dominican church that houses an indie bookstore selling diverse Dutch and English titles. The store is stunning, with sweeping arches and high ceilings, and attracts tourists from all over the world.
Great experience in this historical building, a converted church to bookstore cafe. Atmosphere is very nice to enjoy a coffee next to a selection of thousands of books and even art pieces. People are very polite and helpful. A must see place in Maastricht.

Visiting one of Europe‘s most beautiful book shops inside this medieval church will blow your mind. The Dominican church (built 1294) houses a large collection of books presented within a breathtaking atmosphere of medieval times mixed with industrial elements. At the end there is a cozy, rounded area where you can enjoy coffee, tea and cake where you have a view of the overall interior. The main floor has more main stream and latest book trends, magazines, travel information, tourist stuff, souvenirs, etc. The other two levels present a vast collection of genres like history, fantasy, information, antiques, non-fiction, etc. There is a separate section of English, German and Spanish books too.No need to say that this is a 100% recommended visit while in Maastricht. Just go there and thank me later :-) My score : 10/10.

Wonderfully located within the center of Maastricht, this church offers more wisdom than you would originally suspect if seen from a distance; it it quite literally filled to the brim with knowledge and literature in different languages and a massive variation of topics. Also there are many games and bags and stationary and other cute gift ideas everywhere. While I was a little bummed out at how small their LGBT selection was, I was glad to find more books sprawled across the many floors.

This space is one of the most inspiring places I’ve visited. The lush greenery spilling in through the windows creates a calming atmosphere, and being able to walk among the towering Gothic arches is truly breathtaking—you get an up-close view of their intricate design and historical beauty. The book selection here is also thoughtfully curated, offering something for every reader. This "book city" is not just a place for books but a haven for those seeking peace, inspiration, and a unique architectural experience.

If you like book shops you will love this. Also sells records and CD'S. Lots of gifts. Lots of English books. Rivals the " Harry Potter" bookshop in Porto but no ticket required to enter. Has a cafe at the back. Ic, Flic and Madge don't buy books or magazines. Only beer.
MADDOGLEP — Google review
Visually it is a very nice store. Very iconic location, but it's not the best 'book'store. But that might be a personal thing, I like my bookstores to sell books and little else. This store however is more all round and sells records, CDs and smaller items like mugs, calenders and notebooks. Certainly book related items but it might have had an impact as the bookselection felt a little limited, though that might also be a space thing. Despite the large square footage at its core its a fairly small store. As a bonus though, there was also a selection of second hand books.

The most beautiful bookstore inside a Church in Maastricht I've been visiting.Boekhandel Dominicanen, located in the 13th century old church, is picked as the world's finest bookshop for many years. It's very interesting browsing books underneath gothic arches and century old frescoesEuropeans are going to church less and less every year so many churches are being sold or turned into something else. Church and bookshop look as if they might have been made for one anotherThe inside is truly awe-inspiring in every way. They installed a towering, three-storey black steel bookstack in the long, high nave, together with a modern cafe in the choir without really destroying the original architecture.

This was the one place I really wanted to visit in Maastricht, and I was so happy I got to go! It's super pretty and big, they have a huge selection of different books and series and even other things in the shop like vinyls. I was mostly focused on the fantasy isle, and I don't think I've ever seen such a big selection of Tolkien or Sanderson books. It was a shame I didn't have more space in my luggage or I would've bought a few books to take home. I didn't try their coffee since I'm not an enjoyer, but it looked good, so maybe another time I'll do it!

The tourist attraction Fort Sint Pieter Maastricht Underground is a fascinating sight, as the caves there are made of limestone and were once a mining site. The tunnels and caves are a result of this mining, along with the settlement itself which is very cool with a fun tour that ends with an amazing view of the city. If you wish to leave the busyness of the city centre, this is definitely a tourist attraction you should visit.

Really cool place to visit as it is rich in history and you get a nice view of the surrounding areas. You can walk on your own but to be honest the best thing you can do is get a guided tour. We had a very lady guiding us and telling us the purpose of the place and how it was used back in the day. Tour wasn't very long and you can get another tour in the underground exhibit on a different theme. All in all I recommend this experience to enhance your knowledge of Maastricht.

Beautiful Fort built in a hill area. You can see the whole Maastricht city from here. There are guided tours here if you would like to learn about the history of this place.

We did the fort and cave tours and they are both well worth a visit. Decently priced too, I think we paid 15 euros a head to see both tours! Very interesting local history dating back hundreds of years and our tour guide Frank was fantastic. They offer both English and Dutch tours very regularly throughout the day and the walk in the nearby surroundings is lovely too, offering great views of Maastricht! We would recommend wearing good shoes (stupidly we didn’t ha ha!) as the fort and caves are a bit uneven /steep in places walking wise.

The fort itself is just a bunch of bricks. Tour guide was very informative. Views of the city are good from the fort as well

My visit to Sint Pieter Fort and the North Caves at Maastricht Underground was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning historical site and its fascinating stories. Our tour guide, Ton, was absolutely fantastic. He was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also passionate about the history and significance of the fort and caves. His engaging storytelling and deep insights made the tour both educational and entertaining. Ton’s ability to bring history to life is commendable, and he ensured that everyone in our group, regardless of age, had a wonderful time. The tour itself was well-organized and offered great value for money. We explored the intriguing tunnels of the North Caves, learning about their historical uses and the various artworks hidden within. The cool, dark caves provided a stark contrast to the sunny fort above, making for a diverse and exciting experience.Sint Pieter Fort, with its impressive structure and panoramic views of Maastricht, was another highlight. Ton’s explanations of the fort’s strategic importance and the events that took place there added depth to our visit.Overall, this tour exceeded our expectations. It was both fun and informative, and we left with a greater appreciation for Maastricht’s rich history. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. Don’t miss out on this gem of an experience!

Auf jeden Fall sollte man auch das Umland Sint Pieter erkunden.(Translated by Google)Exciting historical location with access to the Maastricht underworld. The fort itself is very interesting but you can only access it with a guide. Be sure to inform in advance, as there are offers in different languages. Parking spaces and restaurants are directly on site. In any case, you should also explore the surrounding area of Sint Pieter.

Well worth a visit, this place was amazing. Would advise to dress accordingly as it is cool once you are underground. Our tour guide was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. The history behind these tunnels makes them almost magical and with the artwork dotted throughout makes it all the more interesting. Our tour took just under an hour and we'll worth the money. Unfortunately it did not include the vault so if you want to see that check your booking and I believe it is another 40mins.

Willy was our guide today and we really enjoyed his tour. He had well prepared stories about the history of Sint Pieter fort, it was entertaining to know how the canons worked and how solders were fighting in 18th century. We would really recommend this tour!

I love my experiences there with the lovely guide called Pauline. It was one of the best tours I have had so far. The tour, the guide, and the weather (on that day, not too hot or too cold) were perfect. I ended up knowing a lot more about the places and definitely will visit again because there are still more places underground that we didn't cover this time. Pauline suggested visiting again during the weekend to explore another area underground. When you buy the ticket, you can choose either the fort or the cave. I recommend you do both. I think they are worth exploring.

We loved our experience in the caves and vault. Joe is an amazing tour guide! He is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. He made us feel very safe as we explored the areas of the chalk stone mine. Such a unique experience and a great memory to have from our trip to Europe.

The fort is located just outside Maastricht and dates back to the 18th century. Below the fortress there is a cave system that can be visited as well as the fortress. We didn't do either because our schedule didn't work. But we'll catch up

It is a captivating blend of history and nature. The fortress, steeped in rich history and guided by knowledgeable experts, offers an immersive experience for history enthusiasts. What truly sets this site apart are the intriguing underground caves and tunnels, revealing the fort's military secrets. I was enchanted by the cool, dimly lit passageways, which add a mysterious charm to the visit. Surrounded by panoramic views of rolling hills and the serene Maas River, this hidden gem provides a unique and unforgettable journey through time and natural beauty. Highly recommended for a fascinating adventure.

We bought a combo visit of the Fort and the caves. The guides, Marcel and Thom, made it a very interesting and entertaining experience. We enjoyed the tour and also learned a lot of things. It's better to book in advance, so you can get to choose the hours. Also, bring an extra layer for the caves.

The best of the best, parking down the hill, combined price with cave was very fine and definitely worthy, English speaking guide was excellent, he told us a lot of interesting things from fort history and also about the physics... the tour lasted about 1 hour, the fortress was very interesting from inside and from outside too, especially the well, cannons and city view, it was a very pleasant experience, many thanks to very well educated guide

We had an amazing experience visiting the fort, thanks to our awesome guide Tom! His knowledge and passion for the history and stories of the fort made the tour incredibly engaging and informative even for teenagers. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area – it was a highlight of our trip!

It's a really nice tour and you can dimension the sufferings that people had to face. But also how resilient and brave they were

Great guided tour, first of the unique Fort St Pieter and then the underground Grotten (limestone quarry in a system of caves and tunnels). Definitely worth a visit. Our Dutch tour guide, Rieki (?) was giving a great and lively walking tour.

Absolute must thing to do in Maastricht. The fort and the caves can be visited through the tours only (I think) and it is better to book in advance just to be sure. The tour would take you inside the fort from ground level to the top and explain the history of it. it was fascinating and last about an hour, the tickets for the tour and cave can be bought together. There is plenty of car parking available here but the best way is by the bike even though it is slight uphill, bike parking is where the restaurant is. Arriva bike is also available here. There is also a mini-golf.

We really loved it, the kids really loved the tour and the guide was very nice and informative.

One of important historical landmark in Maastricht. It’s situated in the outskirts of the city, but accessible by walking or bus.You can find this 19th century fort, situated on the top of the hill. Don’t worry, it’s just 125 metres from sea level, easy trek to reach the top.Not sure about the entry inside the fort, but you can enjoy amazing view of the Maastricht city from the top of this hill.Possibly there are guided tours to know about the fort, you can go with them to know more.Plenty of parking spaces are available, if you are comfortable with car.Highly recommended.👍

The Montagne de Bueren is a renowned landmark in Liege, Belgium. This notable structure consists of a lengthy stone staircase that ascends the hill at the center of the old town. It offers stunning panoramic views of the city, including its palaces and citadel slope. The climb up this steep flight of stairs may be daunting, but reaching the top is undoubtedly worthwhile. Postcards often feature this iconic sight, making it one of Liege's most famous attractions.
A must do when you visit the city of Liege. Iconic spotlight and tourist attraction of the city. 300 steps up the hill to benefit from amazing city views of downtown Liege. Well worthy the effort. The stairs and houses are themselves deserving a visit. On the very last step on the top, it is indicated a spot where you can stand to get the best photo of the city landscape below you. Have a bottle of water with you, well needed after the physical exercise, as you will not find a shop or bar nearby the top of the stairs
Fra S — Google review
A cool stop for 15 minutes of exercise after driving in the car for two hours. I suppose we could have done it twice (or thrice) but I was in street clothes and the sweat was starting to arrive after one walk up under the blasting sun.
John S — Google review
What else is there to say other then: visit these stairs. Your condition and heart rate will be thankful of the exercise, you will be ashamed of your lack of training. It really is a beautiful set of stairs, never thought I’d say those words but I can’t deny it. The view over Liège is nice, but I do think the steps are worth the visit in their own right.
Stefan B — Google review
Breath taking views. A must see, if you are in Liege. Navigating the 374 step staircase is a challenge. It would be worth yout while to explore this, as take in the breathtaking views of Liege.
Jonathan G — Google review
This may seem donating but it is not that bad if you walk daily. If you do not exercise or walk much this could be hard but not impossible. Great view at the top and perfect way to burn off the waffles. Lol
Spadesshadow — Google review
Best place to visit at Liege. Near to city centre. Upstairs there is garden you can Move around and view scenic city.
Audumber T — Google review
Not recommended for fragile people, the slope may appear not too steep however the length of the path and the number of stairs may make it difficult to some people.I would recommend making stops to recharge. Note that the way back may also be difficult especially if you have a knee injury. The view from the top is ok but I recommend continuing the climb a bit further for an even better experience 👍🏻
Jad B — Google review
Montagne de Bueren has a ton of stairs 😣, but it was an incredible adventure climbing them and getting to the top (just to realize there's another monument and more stairs further up, lol). Not going to lie, there were a few moments in which I was winded. The views are great and there are so many people taking the climb on! At the top, there was a sweet cat visiting everyone who had made it.
K E — Google review
it’s great to see and learn the history of this little city. Not recommended for weak legs or little children, however you always be welcome to beat your own challenge if you want to climb up to the top. Please, keep calm because there are people living there. 👍From the top, you can see full view of the city and there are many trails/stairs/ways to go back down. (watching your steps and bewared of dog’s poop)
Minh D — Google review
Probably one of the must do's of Liège.The views from the top are pretty and worth the climb. However, be mindful of the people that live there. Enjoy the experience and the city, but be also respectful with the people that lives there and that uses them as their daily path to go back home, to go to work...
Pablo R — Google review
These are a series of over 350 stairs straight up to the old fort. If you’re not in the shape to walk flight after flight of stairs, this is not for you. Want to challenge yourself? There are 10 steps and a landing to rest if need be. Trust me the view is worth the climb.
Dan N — Google review
It takes 374 steps to get to the top but then you have a nice view of the city. You do need to be quite fit however the handrail is quite sturdy and you can of course take breaks

Only attraction in Liege 😂 which was actually nicee as it has a history behind it, looks good enough for you to take picture with if you want, and even has nice view from the top!! Kinda perfect actually cuz it’s not even much crowded. This attraction is enough to gank the whole tourisms of Liege 😂 sad we don’t manage to find any souvenir of the stairs 😭

The Liège-Guillemins railway station is a contemporary transportation hub and modern concourse, created by the renowned architect Santiago Calatrava. The station features an impressive vaulted roof made of steel and glass, showcasing a blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal. It has become a prominent attraction in Liege, serving as the starting point for many travelers exploring the city.

Nice and clean station. The guy at the info desk thing was kind of rude a few weeks ago when I asked where to make a reservation after I missed my connecting train due to my previous train being over an hour delayed. He suggested I be on time for my train next time. I told him it is hard when it seems like nobody on this whole continent has discovered you can put a clock in a train, despite a certain other country putting dozens of atomic clocks into space. He started yelling at me in French or something, which was funny. Nice station and town to spend almost 2 hours, though!

Beautiful building unfortunately it's form over function. There is no cover for wind and very little seated waiting space. Also the people around the station are quite dodgy

Well maintained train station with a colourful, huge roof that you would not stop looking at. The staff at the station office is very very friendly and helpful. We missed our train due to the delay of another train. The lady booked us another train route for the next day along with our to and from ticket to Leuven. Very much satisfied with the services provided.

Beautiful building to admire during the day. Unfortunately as a station, it could be better.Firstly, having WiFi available would be nice. Also a bit of support regarding the connections with Germany (20 mins away) could be helpful for regular commuters
Leonardo C — Google review
The station platform elevators and escalators were both out of order. Many strollers and passengers carrying large luggage had to carry them by themselves, which was very inconvenient. And without any obvious notices or alternative measures, there is still a lot of room for improvement.

Fabulous design, have been through here a few times on my way to Bruxelles, Kortrijk and south to the Ardennes.Nice shops on the bottom floor, 3 coffee shops, but missing a General store for travellers.Has a mezzanine level that is completely derelict, pity, would have been a great addition to the railway station and added something to it's usefulness.

Me neither. I love the architecture of this station. The design just pops and it is very bright. Easy access to all platforms. The bus station is right out in front of the station. Few restaurants and food stands in the station. More outside of the station across the street. I really enjoyed my visit to this station. It is beautiful.
Michael M — Google review
my worst experience at a train station. an unbelievable amount of people begging for money who will then mock you for refusing. my train first got delayed by 30 minutes, during which time the platform was moved three separate times. the train had malfunctioning doors. no seats available at the upper part of the station and limited seats at the bottom. gave it two stars instead of one because it looks nice from the outside but I will do everything to avoid this place in the future
Imie N — Google review
Never seen a train station like it. Beautiful architecture, topped off by a large exhibit of a rubix cube. The information centre is located under the tracks and there, you can get all the information you need from the friendly staff.
Patson M — Google review
Unsafe, dirty, full of vagrants and people with bad intentions. There is no security and the police at the station simply do not care about solving cases of theft and robbery, since they are common (and will always be common because the police do not take action). It is a shame that a place with such beautiful architecture is the scene of so many crimes.
Carla D — Google review
A modern station with a spectacular view.It acts as a train hub for both international and domestic trains. Most international trains stops at platform 1 though this may vary in busy hours.

AVOID long waits at night. It's full of homeless people. Everything is closed, dark, kinda scary for a MODERN train station. It is completely open; so it's cold everywhere. If you arrive late or need to have a long wait, there's a savior place close called TGV taverne (open 24hours)
Mariana F — Google review
A beautiful train station, a wonderful design. There are markets inside the station and a car garage, and trains pass through it to all the regions of Belgium. There are also international trains to the Netherlands, Germany or Luxembourg, located in the center of Liège.

Impressive railroad station to visit, with ample parking place. More languages are spoken on the service and sales desks. Departures and comings are easy to read on large TV screens.

Museums
Bokrijk Openluchtmuseum is one of the largest open-air museums in Europe showcasing Flanders' past through over 100 period buildings and furniture from before World War I. The museum offers a nostalgic view of village life and has undergone meticulous renovations since its establishment in 1958. While entrance is free after 5pm, it is recommended to spend at least three hours exploring the site properly.
This is a place absolutely worth seeing. The complex itself is huge and there are so many activities for the children, from trying out historical games to baking bread, making your own leather bracelets, making insect hotels, etc. The complex is very well maintained all around and is also being expanded in many places. Since we were there on a weekday, we didn't see any live performances, but overall it was very quiet and we were able to do/watch everything we wanted without waiting. All we can say is “Keep it up!” and thank you for the great memories we were able to collect there. If we are in the area again, we would definitely like to come by again.

Lovely place to visit with a huge park, farm, flowers, and open air museum recreating the life of old Belgium. They have many buildings that have been transported and preserved as Museum. They have activities for young and old using traditional methods including carpentry, leather, and traditional games which can be used by all. They have a very nice recreation of the sixties, with typical urban shops, houses, pubs, etc.It has good food options as well. Amazing place to explore and enjoy the day out

Absolutely relaxing! It turns out to be a very large property with different areas to visit. Every area has something interesting to offer and you can enter most houses. Also there are dressed up people in character who play a role and can give some explanation. You can also participate in different experiences from that time, like going to school and follow a lesson, going to church, visit the farmer or helping the maid out to do the wash and feed the goat. For kids there are different workshops available and they can dress up and take a picture.I really recommend to take a ride with horse and carriage in the beginning of your visit so you see what the grounds have to offer.Certain buildings are only open and manned on certain days, like the mills and the herb cottage. There are a few eating facilities on the premises that offer drinks and food for a reasonable price. Toilets can also be found there. There's a souvenir shop where you can buy different things. We bought some bottles of apple juice made from the apples that grow in Bokrijk, it's very tasty. And for the beer lovers, there's a little brewery on site where you can taste some beers.Be aware that it's very big and you might need a whole day or maybe more to visit every part. And there's also a very big playground, so for children there's absolutely enough to do.

We have been visiting this open-air museum for more than 40 years, and I think it is still wonderful. For my generation, born 1945 ..1955 it is probably a memory of the past, because in my living environment as a child there were still many old farms with smallholders and people farmed without a tractor and with a horse and cart. I myself have bound corn in sheaves and threshed it with a flail. That is why this museum really appeals to me.It is also very nicely set up with beautiful hiking trails and also nicely divided into the different provinces / regions and you can taste the atmosphere of the past. There are also actors who bring a lively story in old costumes. People are present showing old crafts. There is children's entertainment through old children's games and children's workshops. There are also some typical restaurants where you can eat dishes from the past. While everything is becoming digital and museums can be replaced by virtual reality glasses, a day in Bokrijk is still the ultimate pleasure for me!

Beautiful place: specially in autumn. Very big, well maintained, family friendly and very interesting historical houses and objects. The animals are nice.

Huge place, the right choice to get a grasp of what houses in this area used to look like. There are also interactive workshops, where people craft various things (e.g. leather goods) or do a live representation (e.g. school class). The place is huge, take into consideration a few hours when planning your trip here. I would have loved more explanations about the houses in an organised matter (it felt heavy to follow a route through the museum, which is the minus most open air ethnographic museums have) & representations held in English. The part I enjoyed most was the Sixties. There are plenty of parking spots & a lot of green areas, which was especially beautiful during autumn.

Very relaxing park. Went on a sunny day and luckily there were a lot of shadows to avoid the sun. The items in the park were of diversity, from parks with flowers, to an exhibition of an old fashioned rich family house, to old sheds and buildings to show how life was in 19th century...everything is in dutch or English, easy to read. There are friendly park employees too who give information in most of the buildings. Overall a nice park, good for kids and a nice walk!

Durbuy is a very nice City and worth to visit -BUT it looks like that most of the shops/tea rooms etc. are just interest in fast money from the tourists. We did visit on a Thursday from 09 am to just after lunch. Lot of Shops had not open. The Shop promoting local Durbuy products only is open from Friday 02pm and Saturday/Sunday. So no interest to promote the local products, just the fast weekend money. We had to check 4 places before we found one open for breakfast. ( it was a hotel, very friendly staff). Durbuy as a City maybe should look into that subject. We met, on thus Thursday morning people from the UK,Netherlands,Germany and Argentina- all not happy with the situation.

The most fruitful way and perhaps the best time to visit Durbuy is to linger there longer by visiting the Christmas market concurrently from November to January. During autumn in November, Durbuy is really beautiful and romantic to stroll around the place.

Adventure Valley Durbuy is Belgium's largest adventure park, offering a wide range of outdoor activities that are sure to get your adrenaline pumping. From kayaking and zip-lining to rock climbing and mountain biking, the park has something for every thrill-seeker. In addition to the outdoor adventures, there are also escape rooms and restaurants on-site. Whether you're into water sports, land activities, or aerial adventures, Adventure Valley Durbuy has it all.
Great place. Amount of team and individual games occupy your whole day. There are indoor and outdoor activities for all ages. Most of them around climbing, on a rocks on trees and also 32m controlled free fall. Highly recommended to visit when weather is good so you can enjoy all of them.

Nice location, very popular, big bar area on the ground floor. Many people seem to rent bikes and go biking on trails here, there's also a laser tag room and a bowling alley that also serves snacks (small chicken legs, veggie, shrimp bites) and drinks. There is a lift to the upper floorsNot sure what else is available here.It dropped a star for me because they limited each game in a bowling lane to 25 minutes, which if you have 5 people, means that you each only have 5 minutes each total bowling time for each game. Ridiculous.

Kayaking was good. Straightforward to book tickets; would recommend to do so in advance. Shuttle buses were easy and straightforward forward alongside staff at the jetty. Would recommend speaking French as most of the staff encountered didn't speak English, but my French was good enough for all of this. Pleasant 8km Kayak journey; got stuck a few times as the river can be shallow in places but that was all my own fault. Good fun.

The park is amazing the infrastructure is really nice. A serious damper is the often young and rude staff / students manning the attractions. As some were nice and competent others were constantly playing on their phone which should be forbidden or opening the attractions late given for example somebody had to go up to the fee fall. Also playing on the phone while kids are climbing poses a safety risk in my opinion. Not speaking Flemish as a foreign visitor some of those played stupid and only gave directives in Flemish while I pointed out that I unfortunately do only speak French or English among other languages… it’s sad to see how badly trained staff can ruin an amazing concept.

Lots of fun and varied activities, indoors and outdoors. We spent almost an entire day there and there were still lots of things left we didn't have time for. There are more things for kids 10+than younger.Food was surprisingly good and reasonably priced.

A huge playground for all ages, rock climbing, abseiling, treetop clambering, a maze, indoor playground, bars and restaurants. Food quality good. For two adults and two kids, a day pass for most activities will cost you more tha 100€. + a 10 euro parking fee

Durbuy is a charming gem in the Belgian Ardennes, known as the "smallest city in the world." It gives you a feeling that you are aready a part of a 14th century village. It's a perfect blend of medieval charm and cozy shops. Don’t miss Donkey Mik Soap Shopfor its handmade donkey milk soaps—your skin will thank you! And if you’re into food, the local beer, homemade jams, and other regional treats are a must-try. Durbuy’s cobblestone streets and welcoming atmosphere make it a delightful place to explore and unwind.

We went for the Christmas afternoon event. On several occasions tried to book tickets and was fully booked but when we eventually managed to book tickets the place was half empty. The children liked the tube slides a lot. The light path was interesting but waiting for Santa in the cold outside for long time wasn't. Still, it was probably overall nice for the children.

Amazing place food is crazy expensive and the fly pass also but its a lot of fun.

We purchased the premium pass for the outdoor area and had a great time. The guidance provided was excellent. The park was quiet, which was nice. It would be better if the café was a bit warmer inside on a relatively cold October day. Overall, we had a wonderful time. We were there from 12:30 to 17:00, but it would have been better if we had arrived a bit earlier, as we had to rush to fit in all the fun activities we wanted to do.

Lots of good options for an active day. Suitable for adults and children. The adventure pass is well worth the cost, it allows you to do almost anything in the park. The high ropes course wasn't very challenging for adults but still fun. The zipline course could be better. The via ferrata was very fun and varied and sometimes challenging. Instructors were nice and friendly.

Enjoy a hassle-free and enjoyable kayaking experience with ample parking space and a reliable shuttle service operated by friendly and accommodating staff. Embark on a descent in the Ourthe River, ensuring sufficient water levels for an optimal kayaking adventure, even during periods of lower water levels. The kayaking experience is particularly enjoyable when shared with a larger group of friends. The rental fee is 29 euros for a single kayak and 50 euros for a double kayak. Please note that we did not visit the park itself, but their kayaking service was exceptional. Life vests are provided for safety during the kayaking activity.

The climbing parcour in the forest was nice, although it was not very clear where we needed to wait to get our harnesses. Fast tag was amazing, it's like one of those places for kids where you can climb and crawl through a parcours, but now you have to tag certain lights with a wristband. We also wanted to do the gigantic zipline but the line was probably more than an hour of waiting so we skipped that one. Nice park, could be a bit clearer with its signs though!

September 2023 5*Visited the place with colleagues for team building. The place is close to the City of Durbuy and well planned. There are so many activities for all age group. You can enjoy indoor and outdoor games - rock climbing, zip line, kayaking, tubing and many adventure games. There is tree climbing zone which require you to cross many hurdle - different level for different age group. There is restaurants and drink place inside the property.

A fly pass costed 55€/day.You'll have access to a lot of outdoors activities. It's better to start really early because the park is big.I'have done outdoor: climbing, mountain bike, Zipline, toboggan, trekking, tree (climbing?) I don't know how to describe it. Hahaha 😺Indoors there are also more activities: laser tag, bowling. There is also a kids (kindergarten) space.Staff is friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are overpriced as always. But nice experience.

Awesome adventure park! There are enough activities for both children and adults. The main focus are tree climbing or rock climbing, if you're not into that you might not appreciate the park. Both tree and rock climbing are physically intense and you might need 2 days to enjoy both. Doing them in one day is possible but your muscles will hate you the next day...One of the best activity is the Fast Tag, definitely give it a go as it turns puzzles and speed tagging into a competition with a ladder displayed for all. It is incredibly fun to do inside and it is included in the Adventure Pass. There are three "premium" activities that can only be done with the Fly Pass: the Free Fall, Big Jump, and the Zipline. There are adrenaline-oriented as you'll go through in a matter of minutes. Do note there is a zipline track in the tree climbing section.Food and beverage are ok both in pricing and quality (15€/burger with fries). Just don't expect fine dining quality, it's not the primary focus of the park.TLDR : great outdoor activities, physically intense, best with two days. Bring good quality sport shoes and climbing gloves to protect your hands.

Interesting amusement park with some unusual attractions. There are three tickets: one for entrance without any attractions included, an adventure pass, and a fly pass, which includes all adventure activities as well as three additional flying activities, i.e. zip line, dead drop and the big air. It is very surprising that this latter activity is a jump onto a big air pillow, which is not insured as you need to sign a physical harm waiver.

The Japanese Garden is a serene and peaceful park that showcases a koi pond and offers various events, such as tea tastings and floral workshops. It's an ideal destination to visit during the early weeks of spring when everything is in full bloom. Visitors can spend a leisurely afternoon strolling around the garden, taking in its tranquil atmosphere. Additionally, dogs are welcome at the park, especially Japanese breeds.
Great value for the price. Only not a lot of parking space. And if you are only there to sight see then you might be done in 90 minutes. If you love photography then it will be more like 3 hours

We visited the garden in October, which is a very nice season because of the different colors that nature takes. From green to yellow and red, each corner of the garden was amazing.Extra colors were exceptionally "painted" by the chrysanthemums which are blooming this time of the year.I would definitely recommend it for families and also people who like a calm and relaxed walk in nature... But still near the city.

The Japanese garden was really nice and a recommending thing to do as a date.Allot of places to take cute couple pictures, and big fishes that u can manually feed if you are not scared, at least.Something to note is check the weather, because it is 99 percent outside and during the rain it is less fun.Overall recommended.

I visited the Japanese Gardens in Hasselt in July and was delighted by how beautiful and peaceful it was. The landscapes are stunning, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The only downside is that there aren't many trash bins, which can be a bit inconvenient. Other than that, it's a wonderful place that I highly recommend!

A very very small garden which can be visited entirely in just twenty minutes. We waited one hour in queue to buy our tickets which wa disappointing! There are not much to see or visit, but the fishes are interestingly nice. There is a cottage in Japanese style. The walkways are really tiny and not very secure to cross the water. There are washrooms and some cabins which serve fries and tea or coffee. If you have nOthing else to do or nowhere else to visit, then it can be as your last solution.

My recent visit to the Japanese Garden in Hasselt, said to be the largest of its kind in Europe, was filled with mixed emotions. As soon as we arrived, we were impressed by the generous parking space and the good signage in the garden made orientation easier. However, we visited the garden a little too early in the season, which meant that many of the expected flowers were not yet visible.Accompanied by a senior citizen, it took us about 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete the tour, including a coffee break. Despite the anticipation of experiencing Europe's largest Japanese Garden, there was some disappointment. Especially when there were a lot of visitors, the circular route, which was sometimes very narrow, quickly felt overcrowded, which created a feeling of being crowded and constantly being pushed forward. The on-site catering options, consisting of several food stalls, left a rather disorganized impression, comparable to a poorly organized street food market, rather than reflecting the expected Japanese culture. Both coffee from a thermos and tea in a bag offered little of what I imagined an authentic Japanese experience would be. I definitely see potential for improvement here to adapt the dining experience to the level of the garden. The same applies to the appearance of the food stalls, which could be more uniform and well-maintained.A highlight was the ceremonial house, although the view of it was rather limited. A more comprehensive insight into this central site of Japanese culture would have enriched the experience. Despite the early visit and the resulting limited floral diversity, there was a lot to discover in the garden. Particularly noteworthy were the cosplayers who used the garden as a backdrop for their elaborate, self-made costumes, thus offering a spectacle of their own. While the floral diversity and cosplayers were impressive, there is clear room for improvement in the areas of catering and visitor experience in order to fully meet the expectations of Europe's largest Japanese Garden.

If you go by car parking van be an issue especially during the busy spring season so keep in mind you could be looking for a parking spot for a little while.

It was a nice garden. Beautifully maintained and well kept.It is lovely for a family visit or a visit with friends. Come with a picnic mat and some drinks and snacks. The garden is quite small so it doesn't take long to see everything. There are toilets inside and food stalls. There is a dragon ball drink vending machine which had a long queue on the day of my visit. There isn't sufficient seating area around the food stalls.Tickets were fairly cheap and there is a map in 4 languages yo guide you.

This is an absolutely lovely garden, but quite small. So if the day is warm and nice, get ready for waiting in a queue for anything, from entry to going to the toilet or getting a drink. But it's worth it, it is really nice and lovely to see. If you go at the beginning of April, you'll also catch the cherry trees in flower, they are great. So totally recommended, just be patient.

Wood, water, stone create a perfect world. Japanese gardens are created based of a Sakuteik book from 11th century. Concept of tension between natural and artificial. Water symbolises constant change. Rocks are unchanged stable elements and are grouped in 3 formation (heaven, man, earth). The 3rd element is wood and plants which suggest passing of time.

The Citadel of Namur, a fortress that dates back to the 10th century, dominates the town with its grey walls and tunnels. Though rebuilt over time, it remains an impressive sight on a hilltop, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. The Chateau des Comtes section and cafe Le Panorama provide particularly stunning vistas. Visitors can stroll along rampart footpaths for access to open areas at any time.
I absolutely love this place! Take the cable car to ride up, then go down to enjoy the incredible city view stretching out below the citadel. Make sure to catch the golden hours for the best view of the city.

You can either walk, drive or take the cable car like us, up to the citadel. Probably worth it if you want to see Namur during the ride.Once up at the citadel, it opens up to a plateau where it houses an exhibition hall (quite unique architecture), an open space car park, a cafe and a chateau. We made our way to the cafe where the spectacular view of Namur and the Meuse awaited us. We chilled a bit while savouring the sights.Walked up to the chateau, now converted into a cafe and restaurant. There’s a rose and herb garden. If you want to explore further, take a walk down from the cafe to the citadel grounds. All in, worth the €6.50/adult ticket for return trip in the cable car.

Visited on a Monday in mid June 2024. Took the cable car from Namur centre to the top and then strolled into the citadel. We booked the multi-activity ticket (Museum, train ride and guided tour of the tunnels (in English - check programming ahead if visit).Allow at least 4 hours and wear comfortable footwear. There are toilets (very clean) and a small cafe (reasonable selection of soft drinks, wine, beer and food). Not that much shade so if it is a sunny day take a hat and wear sunscreen.Take your camera. The audio guide in the museum is excellent (and included in the entry price). The tunnel tour is very informative.

A journey through time and history awaited me at the Citadel of Namur. Nestled at the meeting point of the Sambre and Meuse rivers, this majestic fortress is a testament to the strategic importance of Namur and the evolution of military architecture over the centuries. The Citadel has witnessed countless stories and transformations with its origins back to the Roman era.The view from the top, at a staggering 190 m, is unparalleled - overlooking the flowing Meuse and the iconic Parliament of Wallonia. But it's not just the views that captivate; the history is rich and deep. It began in 937.Walking through the Citadel, you are reminded of its ever-evolving role – from a strategic military post to its repurposing in the 1930s as a protected command post space. Today, it is a reminder of the past and a symbol of Wallonia's heritage – rightfully classified as a Wallonia Major Heritage site. For anyone looking for a panoramic view of Namur, the Citadel is a must-visit. Experience a blend of nature's beauty and human ingenuity in one place.

You can hike from the entry way near the roundabout Rue Notre dame, and make your way up to the Tourist Information Centre. There’s also a museum in there that tells about the story of the city. Although the view is very pretty. The way from and to the Tourist Centre is not pedestrian friendly.

The Citadel itself is nothing. Just grounds for walks that are free of charge. To SEE the Citadel tou have to take the small train-6 euro for 25 min, and to visit the underground tunnels,8 euro p.p. The tour was with a guide, very informative and interesting. With this ticket tou have free admission for the museum in the Citadel. Free of charge parking. I have many videos from my Namur weekend. The Citadel included. Of you expect a Citadel like the one in Dinant tou will be disappointed. This one is different.

Maredsous Abbey is a stunning Gothic-style Benedictine monastery with a rich history dating back to the 19th century. The magnificent cathedral church, built by a wealthy German family, boasts luxurious and beautiful architecture. While no longer in use for its original purpose, the abbey offers tours and retreats, allowing visitors to explore its history. Additionally, Maredsous Abbey is renowned for producing delicious cheese and some of the best beer in Belgium.

A beautiful Abbey where you can learn about the rich history of the pilgrimages that where made here and from here. It is still an active Abbey so there are still monks practitioning their faith. It also has a guesthouse where you can eat, drink and get souvenirs. My only suggestion would be that they offer something for people who live a vegan lifestyle so they can also partake in the food and holy beers that are being served.

Lovely abbey with nice playground. Great for the kids. Went for food, but tables not cleared, had to do it ourselves and then wasn’t sure if we had to order at the bar or wait and was told to wait. Took 30 mins for someone to take our order. There was no “cafe gourmand” left! Long wait for nothing!!! No wait to enter abbey, for put that down below. My grip here is with the food part of the visit.

The 15th-century stadhuis is a magnificent Gothic-style former municipal headquarters with turrets, fancy stonework, and 236 sculptures on the walls. It is one of Leuvens most iconic sights and survived numerous wars that devastated the rest of the town. The building can pretend to be ninth wonder of the world.
A beautiful building in the center of Leuven with 235 statues to admire. It’s a must see if you are visiting Leuven. There are daily one hour tours in Dutch and English and on the weekend in French. In these tours you visit the interior of the building while learning about the history. The cost is 4 euros and you can buy tickets in the tourist office around the corner. Starting in September 2024, this building will be closed for renovation until 2029. So if you want to take a tour, I would recommend doing it now!

A beautiful building , the minarets depicts the Islamic minarets in Middle East . Lots of effort put to maintain the building . It would be great if a silent room is built in it so people can come and read salah / prayers at it when it’s time for prayer .

I saw so many city centers here in Belgium that for me it is just another one, but I can say that the buildings are very nice, they are worth to see, you can feel the right city center atmosphere, you can "smell it", you can see the crowds of people, tourists, locals, visitors, you can find many and many bars and shops there, sometimes it is good even for me to receive the city aroma so in some cases I like to go to places like this

This building is certainly one that has impressed me the most while visiting Leuven. It is centre of Leuven.Leuven's Town Hall is the historic city's pièce de résistance. Moreover, it's one of the best-known Gothic town halls worldwide. It took three architects and thirty years to build it.Leuven's 'Hall of Fame' features 235statues, which were only added to the facade after 1850.

Magnificent and Magical - this is the most iconic spots in Leuven. I went on weekday as it was a short drive from Wavre. Both day and night view are awesome. Don’t forget to book a guided tour if you want to visit the interiors. The inside of the town hall is well preserved with wooden ceilings and chandeliers transporting us to that era. Very beautiful!!!

Unbedingt sehenswert! I do strongly recommend the guided tours offered by the tourism office. The guides are well educated, with a lot of historical knowledge and the educational background needed.(Translated by Google)Definitely worth seeing! From the outside you will be amazed!Visits to the interior are only possible via a guided tour, which can be booked through the tourist information office. Here are anecdotes in advance. All niches were occupied by over 200 statues in the 19th century; Victor Hugo is said to have personally addressed a letter to the then mayor of Leuven. And this building is still original. During the First World War, the Germans had their headquarters here and thus the destruction caused by a major fire was prevented. And in World War II, a bomb dropped by the Allies didn't explode but simply fell to the ground. And legend has it that the then Duke moved his seat of government from Leuven to Brussels. The Leuven people built this magnificent building to encourage him to come back to Leuven. But that didn't work and Brussels became the capital of today's Belgium. Apparently the people of Brussels built an even more beautiful town hall.I do strongly recommend the guided tours offered by the tourism office. The guides are well educated, with a lot of historical knowledge and the educational background needed.

Spectacular building with a Flemish Gothic façade, although the remains of Leuven's first town hall, built in 1439 and located on the main square, are no longer preserved. It has been destroyed and rebuilt three times in the last hundred years, the last time after the Second World War.On the outside we can see 236 statues, all of them of important figures in the history of the city, arranged by floors: on the ground floor we find academics and artists, on the ground floor religious figures, on the first floor members of the nobility and finally, at the top of the towers, scenes from the Bible are represented.

The Old Market in Leuven is a buzzing, tree-shaded town square lined with open-air bars and restaurants in ornate gabled mansions. La Oude Markt, c'est place to be for a snack at the student atmosphere. It's filled with bars and cafés, so we'd gone to Bar 9 on recommendation from an old student louvaniste: apparently they have some of the best cocktails!
The Groot Begijnhof Leuven is a heritage museum that preserves the religious and social history of women in Leuven, Belgium. The museum is located in the heart of the town, and it is a great place to wander through quiet streets lined with old brick houses and step-gabled brick houses with stone window frames. There are also a couple of pretty footbridges that cross the central stream.
Went on a weekend visit to Leuven and this place was breathtaking. So calm and peaceful yet holding a huge history. It used to be a residence of Nuns and now a UNESCO heritage site perfect for promenade 🤗

I’ve been to Begijnhoven all over Belgium. Probably because it is a mostly-Dutch/Belgian concept, but still. All of them have the same characteristics (green grass courtyards for washing clothes, little houses right next to each other and cosy streets, a church on the grounds, etc..) but what makes this one special is not-hidden in the name. It is pretty big. The one in Antwerp and Tongeren are small in comparison (not less cute though). You’d be amiss not to stroll through this serene and walled-in area of Leuven, stubbing your toes against the cobblestones and wondering if people still live here (spoiler: a lot of students still do).
Stefan B — Google review

Open to the public and free! Beautiful setting among century old buildings. Worth a visit. Please be respectful and do not litter, talk loudly, or enter the private gardens.

A must-see historical site if you want to see a wonderfully restored old village compound once inhabited by hundreds of women from the religious order of the beguines. The beguinage covers a relatively large area intertwined with a river, a lot of green, magnificent historical buildings and the beguin church, open to the public. The site is inhabited by a few happy students and university professors who would be pleased with a bit of silence. In other words: a tourist location but no typical attraction for noisy kids or anyone looking for a coffee place, restaurant or souvenir shop. Only paid parking spots can be found in the near vicinity. Wheelchair access is challenging since the compound is paved with cobblestones.
Freddy V — Google review
Very nice old district, we had luck to be there at Sunday evening. It was almost empty, very calm, with romantic flair and seldom pedestrians passing the streets. Definitely one "must-see" during the visit to Loeven!

Gives you a very old colonial vibe as soon as you step into the streets. Its a well preserved beguinage containing numerous houses and apartments and is owned by the University for its housing needs. With beautiful brick houses, stone walkways, canals and a garden…this is a must visit spot in Leuven
Niranjana S — Google review
The begijnhof neighborhood in Leuven is recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site (along with other begijnhofs in Flanders). It feels as though you’re stepping back in time while walking through the immaculately well-maintained streets admiring the old stone roads and the red brick buildings. A professor at the local university informed us that the residents are a mix of established locals as well as university students. Irrespective of the profiles of the neighborhood’s inhabitants, it is extremely serene, quiet and feels safe even walking alone late at night. While it is a good hike from the train station and a bit away from the center of town, make the trip to the begijnhof for a step back in time.

The Herge Museum, housed in a contemporary building, showcases the works of Georges Remi, the creator of Tintin. The museum offers an extensive and engaging display that celebrates the life and talents of the multitalented cartoonist. The exhibition features numerous models, photographs and source materials used by Herge to ensure accuracy in his sketches. Visitors can avail themselves of an entertaining audioguide during their visit.
Great museum and gift shop. This place is absolutely huge and is set in a beautiful and very impressive building. Good museum with a good variety of different displays of Herge’s work.Gift shop is good, thought wish they had a bit more variety. You can reserve tickets, but you still have to queue up to pay for them. That bit is a little confusing imo!

As a life long TinTin fan a must visit would be the museum of Hergé and it didn’t disappoint. The art work was incredible and small details made it well worth the entrance fee for example the glass was Matt so no horrid reflection when taking pictures. It told Hergé story perfectly and the love he had for a boy and his dog. The only down side was the prices in the shop… there was even a low cost item to say I went to the museum like a pencil or such like something a child could afford . A pencil would have been something Hergé would have appreciated. But it didn’t spoil the trip. I would really recommend a visit.

Apart from the illustrative value of the exposed material, we must highlight the building that contains it, a showy architectural work that draws attention for its asymmetrical volumetry, with a certain disorder in the bodies that make up the building, which allows a walk through walkways that connect the different rooms.

The Hergé Museum is a must visit for any fan of Tintin! Being a Tintin fan, this was a dream come true moment for me. The exhibits are beautifully curated, showcasing Hergé's creative process and the world of Tintin in incredible detail. The museum is interactive making it perfect for both children and adults. I was particularly impressed by the original artwork and the immersive experiences that bring Tintin's adventures to life. I felt like I entered to another world. A must-see for any fan of Tintin I would say!

I would give it 10 stars if I could. I read TinTin in my childhood and it always fascinated me! I never thought about RG (Hergé) the author, but the adult me is so fascinated by this museum (I generally don’t like museums much) it tells the story of Herge well, and how he got his influence! I fell in love with Herge and realised how much of a Genius he was with his drawings, and the way he expressed everything, how he was inspired by scouts, real characters and places he’s been.Definitely a must visit for everyone who read and liked TinTin! Totally worth the 3 hours

Had the most wonderful time here! The museum is excellent and there's a free audio guide app that was clever, informational, and easy to navigate. I spent probably 3-4 hours here but most people would probably take about an hour and a half. Great if you love Tintin, great if you love Hergé's other works too. Well designed and so interesting! You can see original inks, plates, gouache art, memorabilia, and photographs.

I can’t recommend this museum highly enough. What an amazing experience. Carefully and meticulously thought through and arranged, it fulfils every expectation. It’s superb and a must for any Hergé, Tintin fan. It was very easy to get to from Brussels to. One train, very short walk (5 minutes) from the station. A wonderful place giving you all the warm and fuzzy feels you could imagine!

A great place for Tintin lovers who want to learn more about his creator. We downloaded the app and took headphones, but it's slightly confusing having to move between reading text, and listening and looking. The restaurant was great - delicious salads. There's a lot to look at. You could spend three hours there. I'd like to have seen more about Herges research sources and the fact that you can find out exactly which typewriter, vacuum cleaner, boat etc. he was drawing because of the accuracy of his research
Kate G — Google review
We are Tintin fans and went to the museum en route to Brussels. The displays kept kids occupied for 2.5 hours. Street parking is easy to find, there are 4 floors to walk through, each about a different facet of Herge's life. The displays are not as engaging for kids, but there are photo booths and viewing scopes to keep them interested. Merchandise in the store is similar to what's found in Brussels, similarly priced.

This is my 2nd visit to Brussels and I had made the trip specifically to visit the Herge museum. We stayed near Brussels-Midi and it took us around an hour by train to go there. Since it was a Sunday, we bought the family ticket for my sister and myself - it cost us 12 euros for a round trip. The stop is Louvain-La-Neuve-Univ. You get out of the two track railway station and walk right up, go straight through a square, and you can actually see the museum in the distance.Right at the entrance you can see Tintin and Captain Haddock on the glass door, and you go from zero to a happy place immediately. The staff is very helpful. The entrance fee of 12 euros included a free audio guide. Photography is not allowed. But there is an interactive photo room/machine where you can click these awesome pictures with Tintin and the rest of his crew. :)Make it a point to go through all the rooms - they are arranged chronologically starting with Herge's birth and family - the way his art matured, and the final few rooms dedicated to Tintin exclusively. There is one particular chandelier-like structure made with all the 220 (??) characters that appeared in Tintin. And then there is this round room which is filled with all the Tintin titles from top to bottom - you have to experience it to believe it!!The museum is wheelchair accessible and the day I visited, I actually saw a mother daughter duo of 76-94 enjoying the tour just as much as the rest of us did. Age is absolutely no bar.

Very great museum. Every Tintin fan will love it, and every non-fan too. The museum is relatively large and has three floors which are accessible via an elevator and stairs. The contents are fantastic. It introduces Hergé himself, his works and of course there is a lot specifically about Tintin, one of his most famous comic series. The museum is really interestingly designed and there is a lot of media and film material. In addition, you can delve deeper and more intensively into the story with an audio guide. All important languages are supported in the app. The Tintin works were very diverse. Many drawings, original works and notes and templates for ideas are on display here. Also models from the comics. The restaurant is very good and lovingly designed. The Hergé shop is diverse and there is something for everyone. Highly recommended. We were there as a family.

It provides videos and images as well as voice and is a must when visiting. The museum also contains lockers so you don't need to carry your bags, clean toilets, a restaurant and a shop with a whole host of different items.Travelling from Brussels is easy as you can get on the train to Lovain-la-Neuve and the museum is a few minutes walk away from the station (well sign posted).

:)(Translated by Google)THE museum for “Tintin” and other comic series by the author and illustrator Georges Remi (=Herge).Architecturally exceptional in shape, color and light. The museum is very nice and an overall good experience, rich with trivia and little trinkets from the Tintin franchise. However, do NOT visit the rest of the city, it is dingy and smells like weed everywhere. It feels very unwelcoming and barren, with its wide walking avenues and no plants anywhere.

If you are a tintin fan this is heaven for you. All the information is very interesting. The videos great and the final selfie booth is too good with all the comics.

Great looking museum with nice architecture, young and friendly staff and yummy + reasonably priced cafe. Special thanks and praise to the welcoming young staff at the cafe who didn’t turned us away when we tried to order at 5:30pm. They made our milkshake and yummy crepe very quickly and made our day and our experience at the museum great! Thank you! Museum closed at 6pm on n Sunday. It gives us sufficient time to tour around even we can only arrive at 3pm.

Amusement park
Fun & Games
Walibi Belgium is a seasonal amusement park located near Wavre, a city known for its historic castle and natural reserves. The park offers a mix of kids-only attractions, roller coasters, carousels, and an observation wheel. Easily accessible by train or car, the park has been entertaining visitors since 1975 and continues to introduce new thrill rides every few years.
We visited this amazing park on Monday, arriving at 10 am. The parking was well-managed and cost 13€ per car. Even though we arrived early, the park was already bustling, so I recommend getting there as early as possible. As a themed park, it offers a unique experience. Don't forget to pick up a guide brochure at the entrance. The attractions are fantastic, and while it's hard to pick a favorite, we rode KONDAA three times. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained. The food court is a great place to take a break, with reasonable prices for food and drinks considering the venue. Every corner of the park is beautifully designed, and I took plenty of photos. Communication was easy as many staff members spoke English fluently. I highly recommend visiting this theme park with your loved ones. Thank you to every member of Walibi Belgium for a wonderful experience.

Very nice theme park. Well maintenance but very poor capacity. Waiting time at least 45 minutes for the extreme rides.Speedy ticket is recommended in order to reduce waiting time.Would love to go back again!

Very nice park,The atmosphere is great there .Some coasters are a bit old and should be replaced, however the newer attractions are so nicely done that I can look over the other ones.It has something for everyone in there no matter how old you are.The fast pass is very worth it, I can only recommend it on a crowded day.

Big and impressive amusement park. We arrived on Friday half an hour after the opening hour. The park was already half full. Should have gone first to the slides, which are at the end of the park, to avoid some lines. All in all, can day that the longest lines are for the medium exiting slides. The the tuff ones they were not so long 🤣Was with 2 teenagers, they ended the park a lot. Recommend!
Mariia B — Google review
Had a blast at this park. You don’t need more than a day though. The coasters are fun and it has a great atmosphere. We were treated very badly by 1 employee though. Spent over half an hour at guest service but they spoke no english or dutch (only french) which made it very annoying to file a complaint. But besides that, we had a good day. Werewolf and kondaa were my favourite coasters. All the others are fun to do as well. Would definitely recommend a visit!
Naomi _ — Google review
Nicely maintained park with many rides catering for children of all ages and some thrilling ones for teenagers and adults. Konda coaster is great. What is missing is representation or staff wandering the park for safety and also answering questions. Also, the maximum capacity threshold is too high as on busy days, most big rides take more than an hour to ride. We also find that on our 3 separate visits, there were each time technical issues with rides which had to be closed temporarily, namely the Dalton Terror, the Pulsar and the water logs coaster. After sales service is not sufficiently responsive. Also, prices for speedy tickets have increased a lot in past 3 years (5 to 7 euros). Lastly, if you purchase a dated ticket, there is no possibility to modify it which is not flexible at all.
Christian J — Google review
Adequate security measures. Attractions were in optimal conditions. There is sufficient public space for rest and freshen up. Clean restrooms easy to find. Attractions for small children (0.90 meters) are week spread all over the park. While there is an interesting online app, I was under the impression that it is not so precise. Hence, one suggestion would be to check the map. It is not necessarily user friendly.
Mónica B — Google review
Excellant park, the ques move quickly, plenty of food and drink options, if it's hot buy the slushy that you can refill yourself countless times. Good facilities, toilets, smoking areas. Check the maps for ride options as they are in groups. Fast, Family friendly and kiddies. Werewolf was our favourite roller-coaster.
Murach M — Google review
Came here for a day, arrived 20 mins after opening time (during summer) there were quite some people but for the most part up until 2pm we never waited more than 20 minutes to get on a rideA lot of fun rides for adults to go on. Can highly recommend, one of the best theme parks we’ve been to
Karmi V — Google review
Lovely place. We enjoyed a lot. Some improvements may be implemented: it closes early, no coffee choices and only coffee served inside the buffets is not a good one either. Too much smoking around. And the waiting times were too long. Looking forward to visit again.
Ismail A — Google review
We went there on a rainy day for team building. Still it was very crowded. Advance booking is always recommended. So many different kind of rides are available for everyone. I did the Octopus, Fun pilot and psyke underground, did not have the courage to do the others. Challenge of Tutenkhamen and popcorn revenge are good for everyone. Absolutely enjoyed the day.

You have to see and experience Walibi at least once! The entrance fee of almost €50 is quite steep - if you're lucky, you can get a ticket for €35 during a promotion online. It's worth doing a quick Google search before every visit! Anyone who comes by car will be punished: the extra parking fee of another €15 on a huge gravel area with countless waterholes is really cheeky.Rarely have we seen such friendly staff: the young man with blue hair in the subscription edition is the best “business card” a company could wish for. Great praise!!! The countless employees and students who ensure everything runs smoothly at the attractions are always in a good mood and even in the evening have a friendly smile or a nice saying on their lips. At this point a huge compliment to the HR department!Walibi is really fun when there are only a few visitors in the park. When the weather is good and on weekends, the crowds and the associated waiting times become almost unbearable. There are queues in front of almost every attraction: sometimes waiting times of up to an hour! Anyone who comes in bad weather and outside peak times will benefit from significantly shorter waiting times. The rides with “thrills” for the “big ones” (over 1.30m) are significantly more frequented than the attractions for children. By the way: Anyone over 1.95m tall has to wait outside on most rides for safety reasons. I'm 1.82m tall and have problems stowing my legs safely in the Loup-Garou, the wobbly Tiki-Waka or the scary Kondaa...Be careful: in the Pulsar and Flash-Back, passengers come out of the attraction soaking wet - and even on a leisurely ride in the Radja River, you can be unlucky enough to get several liters of water down your neck. This is certainly not to everyone's taste and is actually only recommended when the sun is shining...The “Pique-Nique zones” in the park, where you can relax and enjoy the food you brought with you or simply take a break, are very commendable. There are free toilets throughout the park. Everything is well maintained. If you're feeling a little hungry, you'll find fast food restaurants, snack and ice cream vendors, and drinks vending machines on every corner. Unfortunately, the prices are outrageously high and the quality is comparatively poor. But you don't go to the amusement park primarily to eat.Overall, a nice amusement park with many different and always new attractions.

Fabulous spot for a day trip in Belgium! Brace yourself for adventure and thrill between the rides, games and eats all around. Pack a rain jacket for the water rides and some coins for dryers and claw machines.

It’s nice to conquer your fear as they say but I cannot conquer my claustrophobia in one of the rides 🤣 Nice experience if you’re not afraid of heights which I enjoyed a lot though not pretty if you have to wait for quite some time. Better to visit on the weekdays or very early on the weekends specially holidays. Always bring something to cover yourself if you want to try Radja River though if you don’t mind getting wet, just go on. I recommend to try Kondaa, Pulsar and the Vampire(the seats smell bad 😬) All in all, Super! 🎢👌🏼
Wellagrace T — Google review
Very fun, recommend buying tickets in advance, makes it easier. The rides are very nice. You can buy food and souvenirs there. There are also little games like a claw machine or trying to throw a ball in a bucket and more games similar to this. You must visit this attraction park at least once in your life. But make sure you download the app walibi Belgium, because it really helps out if you need a quick check which tides have the smallest wait time. The wait time can be big, it can vary around 0-50min, I suggest going to the shorter times first if you want to go on more rides. But I think the day matters, if there's a special occasion like Halloween, there will definitely be a lot of people. Although it's very nice on Halloween, spooky. So in summary, it's very nice, I recommend going.

It is a very lovely park. It has Lots of attractions. Especially you should ride kondaa, dalton terror and pulsar. Different places have different themes. For example india, africa and wild west. We went there on Sunday and it was not so crowded. Foods are ok. Also there are many attractions for little kids.
Erdinç T — Google review
Walibi Belgium is a nice little theme park in Belgium. Getting there by public transport was pure bliss, and if you are staying in Bruxelles, it's probably the best way to get to the park. Park entry is not too expensive for what you get, and there are definitely enough attractions here to spend a full day.The best ride by far in this park is Kondaa. On my day of visit, we were actually scared that there would be long queues here since it's pretty much the only ride worth marathoning, but operations were so good that we never had to wait for more than half an hour. Single rider was an even better way to save a lot of time. Thank you so much, Danaie, for your kindness and just the amazingly fast operations on Kondaa.Unfortunately, this park also has a lot of bad rides. A few too many if you ask me. There is both a Vekoma SLC and a Vekoma Boomerang. This park also unfortunately offers a Vekoma wooden coaster, which is just as uncomfortable as their old steel coasters. Also, the theming for pretty much all rides is quite lacklustre and forgettable. Excepions from this are, of course, their newer rides, Kondaa and Tiki Waka, and I really hope this trend continues.
Gerhard — Google review
It’s one of the biggest amusement parks in Belgium. Lots of thrilling roller coasters, like the standout Kondaa, and immersive themed areas. Despite occasional crowds and long waits, the park's diverse attractions and friendly atmosphere make it a top choice for families and thrill-seekers seeking a fun-filled day in Europe. Would recommend to use the app to check out the wait times for each ride to plan your next rideThe place has ♿accessible Parking’s and toilets

This was our second visit to walibi Belgium. We first visited 7 years ago. It was good to get back. Staff seemed really friendly. In some parts the park seemed a bit dated but the newer area around kondaa was stunning.Queue times were good despite there being a lot of coaches in the car park.

Bois du Cazier is a UNESCO site that comprises two museums showcasing the history of industry and glassmaking on an industrial heritage site, along with a former coal mine. The staff is exceptionally polite and helpful, making it a must-visit destination. This historical place sheds light on the working conditions of people who provided energy for the country in earlier times.
Nice place to understand industrial changes and get some information about 1956 tragedy.

Excellent! Excellent! the parking lot was full so we parked in a nearby street, the entrance fee is valuable, kind staff speaks English, toilets are for free, the area is quite large, we walked independently with an electronic guide, many exhibits are related to mines and coal, machines, industry, electricity, short the film shows the history of the mine and industry and the minning accident, everywhere was clean, the spaces for visitors are outside and inside, you can spend about 2-3 hours there, interesting even for children, there is a cafe and a restaurant, I highly recommend it!
Marek S — Google review
Staff doesn't speak English at all, but the place is worth visiting, as it is the important site in Charleroi history as an industrial and mining city.
Rus?an T — Google review
- We saw people walking around with audio guides towards the end. we were not told this at the entrance.- The proposed tour starts with an industrial museum and then a glass museum. This is all well and good, but I suspect that most people who visit a mining site come for the mining part, which comes at the end of that tour and when I got tired of reading the non-mining stuff. Moreover, the part about the mines is very sparsely developed. The video about the mining disaster, for example, was still reasonable, but it's in a corner behind a wall, where you could miss it! There should be much more focus and attention for this, so the 'logistics' on the site can be made much better in an easy way. For a Unesco world heritage site, this should actually be much better!

historical area where the tragedy of the dead miners is relived, but also a cultural area thanks to a path that illustrates the period of development of the steel industry

We spent most of the day here as there was so much to see. I loved the narrative guide; it was like a conversation between a lady and a gentleman personas who worked in the mine, so I found it alive and captivating.

An excellent museum with friendly and helpful staff. Nice cafe bar and the upstairs restaurant is really good too. Audio guide is one of the best I have ever used. A very poignant monument to all those who died in the terrible mining accident at Bois Du Cazier.Easily reached by bus from Charleroi and would recommend more people from the UK to visit this very interesting area of Belgium.

Excellent museum well worth visiting. It teaches you a lot about the industrial revolution and mining in this area and is very in depth with sub museums also inside such as a glass museum. The staff speak good English and the displays also are in perfect English. I spent 2 hours here so this is highly recommended. Free entry also.
Vin C — Google review
UNESCO site of industrial heritage. Staff is very polite and helpful. Definitely worthy of your visit. Amazing to think in what conditions people lived and worked to provide energy for the country. It is also a place of a human tragedy which took lives of several hundred people.
Darius S — Google review
A truly unforgettable experience. The exhibition is intelligently plotted, not by piling up eye-openers, but by revealing the meaning carried by the place. I was surprised by the fact that even a humble-looking iron gate or yellow stairs can be so emotionally evoking. I really like the miner family's Nissen huts, God bless those women who turned prisoner's camp into lovely homes. The video presentation of the industrial museum is great (an English version is available, please turn to the staff.).The audio guide is informative but could be more concise and slower if I am not being too nitpicking. My mother tongue is not English nor French, I find it hard to follow sometimes.I also have a question, what is the name of the ending song of the video played in the memorial hall (sounded Italian to me). This song, with those victims faces flashing by on the screen, made me unable to hold back tears. The song is haunting me, Please tell me.

All of us should see such places to understand "how did we get to this point of civilization", blood and tears of miners

One of the best museum experience! A must visit for all ages. Thanks to a great audio guide, recordings of a former miner and his sister let you introduce you the life of miners and revisit the tragedy of Marcinelle and its lessons for the future, as you walk through the places which became both source of glory and shame for the country. Very moving. You cannot walk out indifferent. Could not keep my tears.

Sights & Landmarks
The St. Michael & St. Gudula Cathedral, also known as the Cathedrale des Sts Michel et Gudule, is Belgium's national church and a significant venue for royal ceremonies. This Gothic-style cathedral features two imposing symmetrical towers and houses remarkable works of art such as a Baroque carved wooden pulpit from 1699, 17th-century oak confessionals, decorative stained-glass windows, and the impressive Grenzing organ.
What a stunning cathedral!! The interior is so beautiful and felt so peaceful. We went towards closing time (5pm) and therefore it was very quiet inside. Definitely worth a detour if you are into cathedrals and architecture. The outside is modest looking, but a absolutely breathtaking inside.

Magnificent, stunning architecture. When in Brussels, this is a must. The detail of the structure and design of each part of the church are works of masters and artisans. The stained glass windows on either side are so beautiful. The pulpit, the ceiling are also all extremely beautiful.Apparently, this is also the church where the Belgian royalty wed.

No dejéis de ir bajo ningún concepto.(Translated by Google)Magnificent, without a doubt a must-see for the wonders you will find inside. The most spectacular stained glass windows I have ever seen, with incredible quality and that make you think you are watching a TV screen. An impressive hanging organ. It is impressive both on the outside, where its resemblance to the façade of Notre Dame in Paris is evident, and on the inside where you can spend hours seeing all the details it has. Outside there is a small park with chairs and sun loungers to rest in the shade and some benches facing the façade to enjoy the view. Don't stop going under any circumstances.

This is one of the top cathedrals I have seen in my travels. This gothic cathedral has soaring ceilings, beautiful stained glass windows, and ornate designs. The cathedral was not terribly busy inside, which made the visit even better. There is a self-guided tour available through your phone, which was a nice addition to learning more about the history and the specific designs around the cathedral. It’s a stunning place to worship, and I’m certain the concert offerings sound wonderful in the space.

A free cathedral should be on everyone’s Brussels to-do list. This cathedral is amongst the finest I’ve seen and is completely under the radar compared to many of its European counterparts. The fact that there’s no entry charge is beyond my comprehension but it is the right thing. I spent what would’ve been my entry fee at the gift shop.

Went on a Saturday morning. Not too busy. It’s free. Very ornate, beautiful and large. Seems little smaller than Notre Dame de Paris, though. This is apparently where royalties get married. Convenient location in the city center. Well worth a visit.Lot of tour groups come by here. The self guided online tour will set you back 4 or 5 euros.

I went on a Sunday and even though busy there was no waiting around and people coming and going. It maybe better during a weekday week so you can soak in the atmosphere, the history and the peace and quite but if you don't mind crowds then a weekend is fine. There are great carvings and the stained glass windows are a wonder, the skills the tradesmen must have had back in the old days is unbelievable. There is a charge for the museum and a small section under the cathedral but this is minimal and adds to the cost of maintaining this wonderful building. The views across the city from the steps are great on s clear day, and well worth the walk to the cathedral especially as its free to enter.

This medieval Roman Catholic Church in the center of the city in Brussels is worth visiting. The gothic chapels and the choir, Nave with gothic characteristics, the stained-glass windows etc., are all a spectacle. In front of the cathedral is this lovely garden, we were treated to the blooming spring flowers! This garden is so peaceful and lively, and you can sit on the benches here or enjoy the view from the stairs of the cathedral.

Shopping
This beautiful shopping mall is popular with tourists for its high-end stores, restaurants, and theaters. It was designed and built by architect Jean Pierre Cluysenaer in the early 1800s. The three galleries are filled with luxury shops, auditoriums, elegant cafes, and restaurants. There is a commemorative plaque of the first showing of a motion picture camera in the area as well.
Another legendary area of Brussels. Here you will find great food and lots of shopping. There are some unique shops where you can find gifts and souvenirs unlike any I have ever seen before this trip! Absolutely a must visit.

Superb glass covered mall in the heart of Brussels. This is a beautiful upmarket and upscale shopping destination that features a number of high end clothing brands and features both restaurants and chocolate shops. The building is a beautifully designed and well preserved example in itself and as such is a feature of the visit. The glass roof is elegant and beautiful arches feature throughout the building.

Beautiful place to be!Surely you won’t miss it when you are heading to or just finished visiting Le Grande Place. It has many shops and for sure wonderful aroma of famous Belgian chocolates are dominating. The classic interior design of the building and the details are so fascinating as well. It’s only 2 minutes walk to the famous Grande Place, so don’t miss it.

The Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert is a beautiful and spacious arcade, well worth a visit. This historic site, opened in 1847, is one of the oldest shopping galleries in Europe and showcases stunning architecture with its elegant glass ceiling and intricate details. Inside, you'll find a variety of renowned Belgian and international shops, including luxury boutiques, artisan chocolate stores, and art exhibitions. There are also plenty of dining options to choose from, making it a great place to explore, shop, or simply enjoy a meal. While some areas can feel a bit crowded at peak times, the overall experience is wonderful. A must-see when in Brussels!

I was surprised by this shopping street at first, it is a hidden high end shopping street around this busy area with only few brands. In case you are not here for shopping and it is possible to stopby for some Belgium beers and waffles. The night view at this area is completely different from the daytime, if there is enough time. 👍
Hubert L — Google review
We just went here to check out the place and hoped to get waffles from a recommended place. We eventually decided not to get the waffles (see my previous review) but just walked around and took pictures. It hosts high end shops, cafes and restaurants, and even a private art gallery. Other than that and its interior, it is nothing really special.

Fantastic place. Beautiful stores, full of history and amazing places to get great souvenirs and of course chocolate.

Very beautiful architecture and atmosphere. The ships are extremely high end and expensive though. The actual gallery is easy on the eyes and navigating this tapestry of boutique is a feast for all five senses, especially if you make the wise choice to pop into a chocolatier for example the luxuriously lavish Leonidas, or if that is not to your taste, perhaps you could lend your custom to marvellously moreish chocolate housed in Pierre Marcoloni

Covered gallery with beautiful architecture filled with quaint cafes and shops. Great place to walk around, shop, grab a coffee or snack. Bustling and crowded. Loved the art galleries and Jean Michel Folon sculptures. His sculptures were all over the city when I visited.

Absolutely gorgeous arcade. It’s super popular and packed with tourists, but it is so beautiful. There are some great shops here too. Definitely worth visiting when in Brussels.

Rain or shine, walk the gallery like a boss. You will find gifts, eateries, the best confectionery, and art. It gets a little busy if tours are guiding groups; so plan to move slow if you have small children. A nice stroll if you have a mobility impairment, no stairs or steps make it very friendly.

A lovely gallery that's definitely worth a visit. The 10 Euro ticket for old masters was well worth it, with a lot of great artwork pieces. There was an interactive piece that explained some paintings of one of the great Belgian masters that was a highlight. Having insight into the meaning behind all small details, was a great learning experience. The gallery is quite big and the 2-3h is what I would recommend to have enough time to visit the whole gallery without having to rush it.Worth a visit and worth grabbing a ticket. Make sure to grab a coin for the bag lockers, as they are coin operated.

Beautiful architecture, steeped in history and charm. Walking through its elegant arcades feels like stepping back in time, imagining how the noble families used to shop back in the days. The stunning glass ceilings flood the space with natural light, enhancing the ambiance of the boutiques, chocolatiers, and cafes nestled within. It's a perfect blend of culture, shopping, and indulgence, having also a theatre accessible from the passage.

One of the oldest galleries in Europe, this has a little bit of variety for most everyone, and just around the corner from the Grand place. It also has its typical restaurants, brasseries, and trendy bars. This 19th century gallery consists of the King’s gallery (Galerie du Roi), Queens Gallery (Galerie de la Reine) and Prince’s gallery (Galerie des Princes), must visit while you are in Brussels. You can easily spend a a couple of hours if not half a day or longer here.

Amazing bit of history to walk through. I would suggest getting a chocolate tour for the full effect. Lots of shops, and it is hit or miss if similar shops in the Grand Place are more or less crowded. It's definitely worth hitting.

The Grand Place in Brussels is a magnificent, historic square encircled by some of the most impressive and beautiful architecture from the 1500s. The square is one of the best places in Brussels to explore for its beauty and history, with ornate buildings surrounding it displaying intricate stone-work, stunning gold decoration, baroque gables and awe-inspiring architecture. It's a must-see destination in Brussels for anyone interested in history or architecture.
One of the most beautiful squares in Europe, the Grand Place is a historic square in Brussels surrounded by gold laden buildings dating back to 15th century which were guild houses. It was included UNESCO world heritage site in 1998. Don’t forget to check out town hall from inside to know more about the place.

This place is really worth seeing, in my opinion, especially after dark. Incredibly beautiful buildings. The square is always quite crowded. :)There is a parking garage available very close but watch out for traffic in the city center, at some point reaching it can take really long time.

The Grand Place (French: [ɡʁɑ̃ plas]; "Grand Square"; also used in English) or Grote Markt (Dutch: [ˌɣroːtə ˈmɑr(ə)kt]; "Big Market") is the central square of Brussels, Belgium, and widely considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world. Here's a breakdown of why it's worth visiting. The Grand Place is a stunning ensemble of baroque guildhalls, representing the wealth and power of the Brussels guilds in the 17th century. The ornate facades, with their intricate details, sculptures, and gilding, are a feast for the eyes. Two prominent buildings flank the square: the Gothic Brussels Town Hall with its towering spire and the neo-gothic Maison du Roi (King's House), now housing the Brussels City Museum.

How can anyone visit Brussels without visiting the Grand Plaza? It’s simply remarkable. I’ve stayed on the Grand Plaza which is pretty remarkable in itself, observing the ebb and flow of visitors and the living panoply of the crowds, groups, coming, going and traversing of the place, the plaza in dark and day and in between. Remember: it’s never empty, even at 3 or 4 in morning. It’s very busy. But being there and seeing the vitality and variety that visits is something to see. It’s the tourist center of Brussels so you have access to all and the best of tourist type offerings, excellent, mediocre and camp. And food & drink are a bit dear right there (although not exorbitantly so) so you have to go a bit abroad for a more authentic local flavor and local pricing. The accommodations on the Plaza an excellent too.

This ancient square in the centre of the city is an absolute treasure for any tourist in the hunt. It would be unkind to simply refer to it as beautiful as it is far beyond that.A true haven of architectural beauty with all the attention to detail that you might expect from those old world artisans.Best to get there early as otherwise it becomes quite crowded.

Absolutely stunning place to visit, a trip to Brussels is not complete without viewing the Grand Place. Beautifully restored it's an amazing sight to behold. On day 1 of our visit they were removing the remnants of a free concert that was held there the night before. It seems there is always something going on here. The area is well serviced by buses, trams or you can just walk to it, and there's lots of bars and restaurants nearby for refreshments.

Such a beautiful square and definitely worth a visit if you enjoy architecture; there's a real mix of gothic, medieval, and baroque and it is all visually very stunning.La Grand Place is very close to lots of eateries and coffee houses, many of which are very reasonably priced. There is also a tourist information office on the square and a beer museum.Beware of extremely uneven cobbles, which aren't to be attempted without a power attachment on a wheelchair-I tried and failed! It's a nice big square, it is very very crowded and touristic on the other hand. But it is crowded in a good cosy way somehow, so it's not a thing that I minded a lot. So this is a must see if you want to see the highlights of Belgium/Brussels

The Grand Place is fabulous and certainly it's a must to see in Brussels.Walking into this old market square I was amazed by the grandeur and elegance of its buildings. Look up and marvel at the architecture all around. The amount of gilding on the buildings is amazing. It is also a very busy place with cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops all around. Then there are many little alley ways, which you can go down and explore. It leads to many interesting places. It would be good to take 2-3 hours guided tour for Grand Place and surroundings. In the evening the the place is illuminated nicely and looks even more attractive.

He's a small statue of a boy urinating...is what he is. Manneken Pis is very centrally located, so you can go see it and be nearby some of the other sights in Brussels. I'm giving the state four stars only because it is what it is. I went once at night and once during the early afternoon. It was very busy at both times of day, and those were weekdays! I really liked Brussels and the people in Brussels seem to love Manneken Pis, so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I don't think you'll be overwhelmed, unless you've dreamed of seeing Manneken Pis for a long time, but you can see it, get your photos, and see the nearby sights.

Manneken Pis is an iconic statue located near Grand Place in Brussels. We arrived around about 7pm and there were still plenty of people getting their picture taken around it.The statue was smaller than I'd expected, and I'm aware that on some days it can be dressed up. But not for our visit (edit - we were passing on day 2 and he was dressed up). My little boy found it very funny of course.I think if you are in Brussels then you need to add it to your list. It's 5 minutes of your time so definitely worth a pit stop. Plus there's plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

Manneken Pis is one of Brussels' most iconic landmarks, though it's much smaller than most people expect! This tiny statue of a boy peeing into a fountain is quirky and amusing, often dressed in different costumes that change regularly. Located in a charming area of the city, it's surrounded by great cafes and shops. While it’s not a large or time-consuming attraction, it’s a fun stop that adds a bit of humor to your visit. Definitely worth seeing while you explore Brussels!

The surrounding streets are filled with lovely shops and cafes, making it a perfect spot to explore and relax. We highly recommend visiting Manneken Pis. Whether you're interested in history, culture, or just looking for a fun place to visit, Manneken Pis should definitely be on your list!

Brussels is a fantastic city to visit but I don't get the fascination with the manneken pis. A boring fountain with the small statue on top, still lots of tourists around taking pictures like it was the Mona Lisa? The Grand place nearby, the cathedral or the market on Thursdays offer a lot more to see.
Peter Z — Google review
A cute smaller-than-you-think statue not far from the Grand Palace! There are always a lot of tourists around trying to take selfies, but it is not felt crowded as people pass quickly. There are a lot of waffle shops and fritries around, offering delicious stuff!

This is just for the statue outside: Fun spot with lots of bustling activity around it. Not much more to say. It’s a very small statue. You can get within about 10 feet of it as seen in the pictures. In hindsight I wouldn’t say it is worth going out of the way for, but seems an essential Brussels attraction to check off the list. There is also a dog and girl in other parts of the city to be tracked down.

Manneken Pis is one of Brussels' most quirky and charming landmarks. This small bronze statue of a little boy urinating is not only an iconic symbol of the city but also a delightful piece of art that brings smiles to visitors' faces. While the statue itself is quite small—often surprising first-time visitors—it’s surrounded by a lively atmosphere that makes it worth a visit. Located just a short walk from the Grand Place, it's easy to include in your sightseeing itinerary. What I found particularly charming is the history behind the statue and the various outfits it dons throughout the year, often reflecting cultural events or celebrations. It's a fun photo opportunity, and you’ll likely find fellow tourists gathering around to snap pictures.Despite its size, Manneken Pis has a big personality and embodies the playful spirit of Brussels. It's a reminder not to take life too seriously and to enjoy the little things. In summary, while it might only take a few minutes to visit, Manneken Pis is a delightful part of Brussels’ charm and a must-see for anyone exploring the city. Don't miss the chance to see this unique symbol of Brussels!

If you are in the area it is worth and stop to take a look and see what costume it may be dressed in. It's fun to see how differently it gets decorated. It is only small so if you didn't know about it you could easy walk past. We was looking for it in the area and didn't realise it was right next to me.There is no information around about it so you're better to read about it online if you want to know more.I wouldn't go out of your way to find it, there are a couple more similar statues like the girl and dog around the city to see.

Interesting but Mysterious LandmarkVisited Manneken Pis in Brussels and found it quite fascinating, though I have to admit, I’m not entirely sure about the full story behind this little boy statue peeing. It’s such a quirky and iconic symbol of the city, and you see images of it everywhere in Brussels. There’s definitely some great history or legend behind it that I’d love to learn more about. If anyone knows the full story, please share it in the comments! Despite not knowing the background, it’s still a must-see landmark with a lot of character.

The Atomium, a giant stainless steel structure in Brussels, was the centerpiece of the 1958 Worlds Fair. It symbolizes peace among nations and an optimistic vision of a modern, technological world. The design is based on the elementary structure of iron and represents the transition to using atomic energy for positive purposes. Initially intended as a temporary exhibit, it became beloved by Belgians and remains one of Brussels' most famous attractions.
I know the reviews are very mixed on this attraction, but we REALLY REALLY enjoyed it. Just super unique and fun! But the joint tickets with Mini-Europe online and visit that while you’re in the area too - a great attraction!

Great from a distance, but even better up close. You get a real sense of how massive it is as soon as you arrive. The futuristic design is unlike anything else, and it’s definitely a must-see if you’re in Brussels. The best part was heading up inside the spheres. The views from the top are absolutely stunning, giving you a panoramic look over Brussels. You can see so far out, and it really makes for some great photo opportunities. Inside, the exhibitions were interesting, giving some cool insights into the history of the Atomium and its place in Belgium’s history. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure everything went smoothly as you go up and explore. There’s also a nice café inside one of the spheres where you can take a break with a drink and snack, all while soaking in the views.Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit, whether you’re into architecture, history, or just looking for something different to do. It’s one of the highlights of Brussels, and the combination of the views and the experience inside the spheres makes it really memorable.Don’t skip it if you’re visiting the city

This was an interesting attraction. We very much enjoyed the light shows. They're interesting and well made.Even on a quiet weekday this was a popular attraction, so I imagine it's best to book in advance. The exhibition information was fairly interesting, there could have been a bit more done with the space. There are some flights of stairs to climb and descend for part of it. The rest you go up in lifts and escalators. Overall it was worth a visit, especially combined with mini Europe next door.

Very nice ! Especially the light exposition.Don't go to the restaurant, it's a scam : one small bottle of water is 6€, they put you on the side, you won't have a good view with the panorama.Otherwise great experience.

View was cool but pricey when just a view. Tried to go restaurant but it stank of the toilets and no one served us so left after 10 mins and went down to the exhibition. Loved that!! Light show was cool, could relax there for ages. Stitch tired but to be expected.

I honestly didn't know if this was going to be a bust or a great experience. I will definitely say it exceeded all expectations. My wife and I spent more time here than what we anticipated as we loved all the exhibits and the light show. The light show was so peaceful and mesmerizing. We could have sat there and watched it for an hour. The exhibit about the Atomium itself was very informative and interesting. It was foggy when we went up to the viewing platform so we didn't see much up there. The Smurf merchandise in the gift shop was cool as well.I highly recommend this place.

What a place to visit. Never been to anything like it. What an interesting place. The light show in particular was great, especially for younger visitors (my 12 year old daughter was glued!)Finding out about the past of the structure, other suggested designed, the world's fair. Great place to visit.

You can't come to Brussels without visiting one of its most famous landmarks. I'd definitely recommend purchasing tickets in advance via the website to avoid having to queue first at the counters. We arrived at 10am when it opened and did notice it already starting to get busy by the end of the tour. You begin by taking the lift to the top sphere for a panoramic view of the city, before touring the different spheres to learn more about Expo 58 and the renovation of the Atomium. There is also a restaurant at the top but we didn't visit on this occasion

Definitely a must see when in Brussels. Each room has something different such as light shows, information on the building of the Atomium and one with a beautiful panoramic view of the city. Can get tickets online or in person, but they’re slightly dearer online. There is also a little gift shop, of course!

I enjoyed it from outside only. It is a very attractive structure with a big parking space and garden. It's a good place to spend a day with kids. Tram stops close to this place. To reaching here is not a problem. Food items are available like ice cream, waffle, pommes etc.

I don't recommend it for adults. It's mostly waste of time as you don't learn anything about physics or atom itself. It's just a vantage point where you can see Brussels. I'd avoid it. For kids, it could be fun.

Amazing place to visit. The staff are very helpful. Different experiences in each ball so visiting each expedition is a must.Lots of souvenirs in the shop. Amazing photo ops. It's on the toot bus tour so book through Best Western city Center to get a discount on the bus tour.

Wow, this place is beyond my imagination! You can buy tickets online and on site, quite a lot of free parking spots available. Next to Atomium there is also the Mini Europa and Museum of Design.Atomium itself is very impressive. From the beginning of the tour there is someone from the crew telling you where to go, what to do and what is next until you are left alone because the path is clear. The exhibition is divided amongst the spheres and to reach them you will take escalators (which are magical) and at some point stairs. Some of them surprised me, like the light/laser/music sphere - wow! You also learn a lot about the history of Atomium and the Expo.View from the top sphere is magnificent, even during foggy and rainy day.If you love Atomium as much as I do prepare for the gift shop, I left with a full bag. :)

Great place. Massive queue to buy tickets, so we ended up buying them online while in the queue, then we could walk straight in! You work your way around the atomium on a mixture of steps, escalators, and a lift. Lots of information about the history of the building. Light shows in some sections. There was a queue to go to the top floor where there are great views, and a cafe. There also a shop on the bottom floor, and photographer when you walk in!

A unique Brussels experience. Great views of the city and the tremendously flat surrounding areas. An interesting look into the history of the worlds fair in 1958 and the excitement about the future expect to wait for the elevator up to the top, maybe 15 minutes and a short wait at the top to come back down. restaurant with an amazing view at the top if you need a little break.

You can get the bundle ticket here to visit the surroundings. It’s a symbol for the world promise to stop atomic bombs and is a popular attraction since then. You will get an awesome view from the top and there are light exhibits in there too

Right when you get off the train station, you will see this beauty right front of you. It’s massive in person and a must see if you’re ever around Brussels! About 20 minutes or so from city Center if you’re travelling via train. Didn’t get to go inside but seeing it from the outside was more than enough for me. Went around 4 pm on a Tuesday in october and there was barely anyone there. It was great!

A Unique Tower Experience with Stunning Views! If you’re looking for something different from the usual landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the Atomium in Belgium is a must-see! It’s a fascinating structure, offering a unique and futuristic vibe. The best part? The incredible views of Mini Europe from the top! Seeing the miniature landmarks from above adds a whole new perspective to the experience. It’s definitely worth the visit for both the architecture and the panoramic views. Don’t miss it when you’re in Brussels!

Very nice place to visit. They have entry fees of 16 euros for adults. You can also buy combine ticket of atomium and mini Europe, which costs cheaper than the individual price. You can buy the ticket on the venu itself and no prior booking required. There is lift which directly goes from bottom to top. Not all atoms in the atomium are available for visit. You have elevators to go between the atoms which are accessible. The architecture is very nicely designed. There are food stalls in the vicinity. It's located near football stadium as well. Very pleasant and must plan a visit in your BELGIUM trip.

A must visit when you are in Brussels! Unique space and concept. The line is not too long in weekdays and you can buy tickets there directly or even online. It is very easy to reach by metro. There is a restaurant on top where the views are incredible.
